Finest white man since Paul Walker. And the ending :emotionalpepe:The best example of true love.

It's hands down the best Bridgerton series so far IMO.

  • Since Paul walker? You haven’t seen any fine ones since then? Okay…

But I’ll check it out then. I keep getting notifs from Netflix. Do I need to watch the og bridgerton to understand it tho?

  • the ending actually made me cry

I just felt so sad for both Charlotte and George...at least they had their short moments of happiness. Life dealt them both a tough hand. When she looked at him and saw the young him...

  • I agree it's the best one among the Bridgerton series so far. Charlotte and George really saved the show - their story was really romantic and bittersweet. Finally a story that actually had a good, interesting plot beyond silly jealousies or about getting married lol. The costumes were a bit better too but it's a different time period.

(It made me remember the statistics that when a man gets chronic-serious illness, the wife stays and cares but if it's the reverse, men have been found to abandon their ill wives. It happens so much now that Doctors warn their female patients when diagnosed with serious illness etc.) The scenes at the end also had me getting teary eyed. The elder actors did great in the scenes too.

Mad respect for spouses that stay with their ill counterparts.

I also enjoy the cast - perfect for all the characters. Younger George, Charlotte, Lady Danbury, Brimsley + Reynolds - all great acting and chemistry between characters.

The only thing I greatly dislike was how they made Lady Danbury's sexual abuse a comedic thing -- all of that was just soooooo wrong. Also, Violet should have been much younger in the past, non? But I don't take this time bending too seriously for this show.

  • Paul Walker who dated teenagers well into his thirties? Not a compliment, dude.

Should I give the show a watch? I've never seen Bridgerton though.

If you like Jane Austen type of shows like Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibilities but with a very American flare drama style with sex scenes - you should give it a chance. This series isn't meant to be taken seriously and it's entertaining to an extent. Not the best show ever, but still a bit of fun. I like historical dramas and wanted to support these historical shows lol. I even watched Vikings for the same reason and I end up learning a bit of history too but have to Google to check the real history vs show history.
