I noticed a lot of people are asking, but sometimes its embarrassing to ask a moderator or someone directly to delete something. Is it possible to request a button for the users to delete something ourselves?
Can users suggest a delete the thread/comment option?

You can report your post as a dupe if it is and we will merge it if we agree. Otherwise, we do not allow users to delete their threads or posts or request deletion.
While you may be thinking of the the more legitimate cases, the way this worked in the past was that people would delete posts they made or threads they started then claim they never said them. I advise everyone to think before they post. And let's be honest, for some people, the world would be a better place if they did.
