The Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism has passed the ‘Lee Seunggi Crisis Prevention Act’

  • continuing the case of company neglection for Lee Seung Gi,

The Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism of South Korea had passed the "Lee Seunggi Crisis Prevention Act"

    it contains:

    • Entertainment companies are required to disclose earnings to celebrities at least once a year + whenever the artist requests
    • Minors will not be able to work more than 7 hours a day
    • Companies aren’t longer allowed to let minors drop out of school or force them to excessively manage their appearance
    • Abuse (verbal, sexual, physical) will be investigated by the ministry
    • Contracts are required to include length, settlement methods & cost deduction methods
    • Minors under 12 can only work for 25 hours a week with a maximum of 6 hours a day
    • Minors 12-15 can only work for 30 hours a week with a maximum of 7 hours a day
    • Minors 15+ can only work for 35 hours a week with a maximum of 7 hours a day
  • work only 6 -7 hours a day for minors?

kpop companies about to pretend like they do not see lol

that clause on "minor under 12" is....

Would this also basically mean any groups with minors can't do world tours? Would being on tour mean working more than the legal hours a week?

Either way, a good step forward

yeah, even tho I think they need a different set of laws for minors...

also it baffled me that the law about cost being stated in contract and the earning disclosure are only being made into law in 2023?? Does that means that overall, idols have a questionable protection law in there?

  • i think this is great

meanwhile you hear that young school students sometimes stay studing at school long hours, sometimes until 10 pm from early in the morning. Do i have wrong info?

did blackpink release a new album today?'s tweet - "#LALISA ACAB, aquí solo respetamos a la POLISA " - TrendsmapID BI****S

    OT4 BLINKS OR JAIL

  • doesnt mean anything if companies can pay these folks to shut up and look the other way

Won't work. Have you not seen the witch hunts over idols? Especially people doing military dodges or stuff like taxes etc with agencies have you not seen the stuff with police raiding sm ent and Kakao over stuff? Or the whole fiasco over YG?🤡😂 Bruh the police and other government guys are gungho looking for someone to bust to get better pay and get a fat promotion and improve their careers. You ain't paying shit off lol they would arrest you faster than you could get your check book out. Hell gov is petty enough to take the bribe and still bust you for it😂🤡

  • Would this also basically mean any groups with minors can't do world tours? Would being on tour mean working more than the legal hours a week?

Either way, a good step forward

Being on a Tour is no different than being on a Business Trip, Work Hours are counted at the point you are being paid or scheduled for an Appearance.

Travel is generally not considered as Working Hours, at least for Entertainers.

A 90 minute Concert would technically be 90 minutes of Work Hours. Practises and Rehearsals are not considered Working unless they are Sessions that people have Paid to watch (Typically Sound Checks), so in reality a 90 Minute Concert would be around 3 - 4 hours Work Time at the most.

Idol Groups rarely have Events on the day they have a Concert, even if they do, it can't be too long as they have the Concert.
