And in under three days.... Spotify is MORE than fine with everyone else but BTS.

  • Discrimination

It's nice to see his father step up and call this shit out. He probably has positive feelings after BTS had Post Malone join their group hug because he was alone.

I hope other artists someday band together and help each other out when they see shit like this.

  • I really can't help but think that either someone pays spotify and youtube to prefer others over BTS or BTS got an offer to pay and refused so they sabotage them. It's really not cute how often BTS loses views, gets cut or ignored by playlisting or seems to not appear on worldwide or domestic trends even though other kpop groups get comments and tweet mentions even from the official accounts. Not even speaking about the spotify wrapped mess. Of course I try to not fall into conspiracy theories but it is clearly a pattern. They still seem to be underdogs even on the top. Some dirty play must be going in the background, but sadly, it is impossible to say, who and why calls the shots.

I'm not sure if its the same case for YT and Spotify but for Tiktok, they have something called Heating. They can boost the video they want to go viral.

  • This is clean and explicit ,the jimin song is the English and Korean version what does one situation have to do with the other

a lot? one has profanity and another has some verses in english instead of korean. what matters is how it influences filtering, etc. if both songs are merged then are the streams combined and given the 20 max streams per device/account or are 40 streams per device accepted?

it also seems to align specifically with when HYBE manages a release vs a Western partner. We actually had views added for Dynamite and Butter vids, which was crazy. And the filtering rates on Spotify were high, agreed, but at least Columbia interrogated it. I do think no matter what, fandom-style streaming will always be punished, and I do see some of the playlists that go around that aren't passing muster.

Something has been VERY amiss for Jimin's release in particular across all platforms and it's still not sitting right with me. I don't think there's an easy answer or only one party to blame. I think there's a few stubborn parties on multiple sides involved.

I will be closely scrutinizing upcoming HYBE releases to see what improves, what gets worse, how troubleshooting does or doesn't result, and which artists are affected most.
