I'm not counting the Produce series because it was officially rigged, but with Girls Planet and Boys Planet. What I noticed about GP999, is that the top voted had the following factors: notable talent (Hikaru, Chaehyun, Youngeun, Dayeon) or story (ie. failed group or failed to debut, Yujin, Mashiro). While I'm hearing the advantages for top 9 in Boys Planet is visual and physique. I don't think even Hui made it to the top 9 even though he's basically the Yujin of the show plus with a lot of talent.
Are visuals more important for BG survival shows than GG survival shows?

When I look at groups I know who were found on shows where it just looks like as if the main goal was to be shady towardd foreigners ... than I don't think most "handsome" non Koreans will ever make it
If survival shows were all about who looks hot and who not than some of the allready eliminated people would be still there
