Bc the type of female idols that typical south eastern kpop stans usually like is someone with a “badass” image like lisa or minnie, whereas idols with a softer and more vulnerable image don’t get as much love on the whole. They’re perceived as weak or girlish => inferior in those kpop stans’ logic. Completely archaic and misogynistic yes but it’s the reality anyway. Why do you think twice got so much hate in this region?
I dont think that's the reason about the viet fans not supporting her but because of that capitalism controversy.
Though it's true that ifans tend to prefer idols with a badass image, it's more because they look up to boss bitch type of girls and that's not exception to sea countries; it's everywhere. Most people tend to be timid compared to people with "badass" image so they gravitate towards people they want to be like.
isn't it obvious it has to do with the political controversy? besides Hanni is seen more western than Vietnamese she grew up in Australia a country that is culturally seen more western ( despite being located in the eastern hemisphere) gotta say in case people bring up the location lol.
It's their loss cause Hanni is a superstar in the making. Communism sucks!
