Lisa offered 81 million usd to leave yg?

  • I read this. Some another label offering! I guess multi album deal as well as merchandising deal like Taylor where label gets more share? Who will refuse this bag. I would run lol. She can sell good amount of albums and merchandise for any company to make profit. Not to mention tours etc. It is great offer if true.

  • By whom?

Unknown 'industry sources' and 'market research' ;judgingpepe:

That article is just baseless speculation from "insiders" who have no credibility. Some journalists are throwing stuff up at the wall about this hoping it sticks, mainly because they know it'll get clicks. This is like those "insiders" who kept saying BP would have a comeback every quarter in 2021 lol.

Media knows a bunch of Kpop fans don't think with logic thus easily baited. Watch how their fanbase will get baited for a couple of months by the media until BP re-signs with YG.

If it is industry insider it can't be false.

And it is not just korean contract. It can be international contract worth many albums and company having big share in merchandise sales.

Not to mention management includes global cf deals etc. So it can be very much possible

  • KR doesn't do contracts by amount of albums, they go by years. Also I'm sure they're all gonna get offers, that's just how it goes for top artists when there's renewal coming up. Even Kelly Clarkson got offers towards the end of her contract.

There is no sure thing is korean company. Can be massive international firm whose contract might include massive share in album, merchandise and touring revenue etc.

  • no one in right mind in Korea would offer someone 81M USD

and it doesn't matter what Idol from which group person is

    not worth it at all...

this kind of move could be done by some huge media/music group from US which is rich as f... and doesn't mind adding another star to it's portfolio

Can be false with no credible proof. This is like saying every articles or rumours are all true just because someone cited it using 'industry insiders' to validate their words.

If you think with logic, no sane companies would offer someone worth 80M USD with no stable solo career. That's like almost the same level as Mariah Carey in 2002 who got offered to do a 5-year album deal worth a 100M USD https://www.nytimes.com/2002/0…ring-buyout-from-emi.html Lisa doesn't even have a discography to based on that numbers from as a solo artist.

And why would she get offered a 80M USD when her other members are also doing well in solo endorsements and only she's edging out a bit in that area. Only huge athletes like Cristiano Ronaldo or Messi can probably get somewhat closer to 80M contract deal. Last I heard in the fashion industry is when Charlize Theron signed a 10 year deal worth 55M USD with Dior as a face of their fragrance but they paid her yearly and not lumpsum.

  • They never said it's Korea.

yup but it means it won't be a kpop label

You are not getting it. These conteacts today including merchandise revenue as well as tour revenue. and ofc majority share of album profit. Back then album sales matter most

Thee rise of merchandise and touring makes it profitable for any management. And they might have good share in cf deals too. Make perfect sense to me
