its surprising that RM and J-hope barely sold more albums than Nayeon

  • bts as a group sells way more than Twice as a group, but their soloists have similar success as Twice soloists even though they have less members. is it because they are the less popular members? a V and Jungkook album would probably easily break Baekhyun's record

  • Both J-hope and RM’s solo albums have limited release re physicals.

RM has a CD & book version, a Weverse album and upcoming vinyl.

Hobi only had Weverse and vinyl, which is slowed due to vinyl production being what it is. He/BH didn’t even released this album via a CD format.

I think both will continue to sell well and have longevity. Let’s revisit this thread later on.

  • Ask HYBE. Between the staggered album releases and not counting BTS album sales or not even having a CD version....I don't believe that there are accurate numbers for just how much the solos sold. HYBE doesn't seem to care about the solo releases so I doubt they even bothered keeping an accurate count of sales.

  • Hobi has not had a physical album out and Joon has 1 version of a physical...what are you even on? :clown:

  • Also OP why are you ignoring the fact that Jin is a million seller certified by Gaon?

Joon has nearly sold 800k albums btw with 1 physical version only.

  • :teddy-pepe:

JiTB did pretty well despite not having a proper physical album that doesn't count towards the chart.

Despite HYBE using the excuse of caring for the environment when they release multiple versions for their other groups.

OP only focuses on the bad/negative of it & doesn't or probably ignores the facts

  • RM sold 750k with 1 CD version and 1 weverse. Weverse albums are a failed experiment and will continue to sell less than CD versions. But even with that hinderance, he'll probably reach 900k- a million this year with CD and vinyl version sales :pepe-smug: and he'll release another single album, with hopefully a standard two versions, that'll sell just as much or more.

not sure how many versions nayeon had, but good for her, whatever she sold

  • Also OP why are you ignoring the fact that Jin is a million seller certified by Gaon?

Joon has nearly sold 800k albums btw with 1 physical version only.

Because it's more convenient to go after members that BigHit screwed more over with this Weverse nonsense. They don't care that if given the same playing field, ALL BTS members would easily sell over 1 million albums and with less versions or gimmicks than their peers.

  • She reached around 500k around 10/22? Her album came around 06/22

Indigo reached it in circle around now. His album was released on Dec 2, with the shipping of physical album starting in varying dates around the world. He is also only 250K away from getting a million seller in the same circle chart.

Common sense says using this comparison to say RM barely sold higher than Nayeon is silly when he reached this in way shorter time then she did.

Even more silly when the comparison comes to Nayeon and Jhope when you realize the latter didn’t have a physical album out.

    Please use your brains everyone

  • This is just a certification for surpassing 500k.

Joon has sold more than 730k albums, he will get triple platinum in no time. Clearly OP wants to mis-state facts and make it appear like Joon and Nayeon sold similar numbers which is a blatant lie even if you ignore the lack of versions Joon had.

It has not even been a month since Joon's album has been available globally with just 1 physical version.

Joon is only 250k away from that 1 m in circle. Op be lying and the rest of comments here even some of the armys seem to have no clue how much joonie has sold in a short period seeing how they are just blaming it on the company or saying it’s not a surprise given the nature of comebacks.
