Old Twice vs New Twice

Had you asked this 1-2 years ago, I would definitely have said old cute Twice.

I didn't really like songs like More and More, I Can't Stop Me, Cry For Me, and while I like Fancy and Feel Special now, at the time I didn't care for too much for them since they didn't really feel special to me. 2019 to 2020 was looking pretty dark for me and I was feeling pretty pessimistic about future releases.

And then Twice started having a crazy "quality" streak starting from 2021 with The Feels, Talk that Talk, Scientist, and them their Japanese quality went through the roof, Kura Kura, Perfect World, (except Doughnut...ugh...) Celebrate.

In terms of title tracks, old Twice was the best but then new Twice bsides make old Twice bsides look like their songs were "made in China". Old Twice was "quantity over quality" where as new Twice is just pure "quality" everywhere.

So think it comes down to a question of if I prefer better title tracks or just a better discography as a whole.

I think if I had to only pick one or the other to listen to, I would pick old Twice, I stan Twice because of the feelings I get when I listen to their music and iconic tracks like What Is Love, Heart Shaker, Like A Fool, just to name a few. I would pick old Twice

But if I don't have to sacrifice any music and simply just a preference, because the old tracks are always there for me to go back to if I need to feel happy, sad, nostalic, etc and those songs are not going anywhere, I would prefer new Twice music moving forward.

Unpopular opinion but Talk That Talk is one of my favorite tracks and I just love that sound and style, unfortunately due to how poorly it did on charts, I doubt JYP will continue with something like it which leaves me still a bit uncertain about future releases, if they release anything like 4th gen, this mellow kinda of music, I'm going to be really sad.

Good thing comeback is just around the corner and I won't be left guessing for too long on how future Twice will be.

I'm gonna have to give these fans a separate fandom...and start calling them Diabetics...

I like them for different reasons, old Twice makes me feel happier, new Twice is just more mature and interesting, I love cry for me, it should have been bigger, don't believe they gave it to an award show that doesn't care about them.

Old. I adore cute things

I love the New Twice. For me, if Twice is more mature is better. Thats why i think in EWO is their best album. Old cute Twice is ok, but mature Twice is way better

the only title song/mv I didn't like from 2018 is Signal
2019 onwards never into TWICE song
the major reason of their downfall

their signature style and sound is lost forever and its a shame
