Crazy how a lot of Top Group members are going to enlist soon but they weren't badgered like BTS

  • Seventeen members are already turning 28 next year but they aren't getting the same "when are you enlisting" questions that have been following BTS since 2019.

You see Jin was supposed to be required to enlist sans the deferment, in 2021 considering EXO's 92 liners Baekyun and Chanyeol enlisted that year. So he was hit with enlistment questions 2 years before he was required to do it.

Shouldn't Seventeen Scoups and the other one who are 95 liners be questioned when are enlisting by now?

Also with NCT, Taeil is a 94 liner and Taeyong is 95 liner as well, why aren't they getting ask enlistment questions?

    Approved the thread.
  • they are not BTS, that should be enough to answer this.

  • because, except for their fans, no one cares for them.

    bts is bts,

everything they do, will always be in the center of attention

  • Because there aren't rumours that they're going to be exempt from enlistment.

  • Because non kpop fans don't even know who these non BTS idols are. Kpop fans have been looking for their window of opportunity for a long time and they think that enlistment will allow their faves to escape nugudom. But it won't lol

  • Why are you comparing a 91-liner to 95-liners? They wouldn't even be attending high school during the same time period.

  • Because none of them are trying to get an exemption.

  • Because none of them are trying to get an exemption.

lol bts never tried get an exemption. Didnt the companies of those nobodys sit in that meeting to try and get exemption while hiding behind bts' acheivements?

  • Why are you comparing a 91-liner to 95-liners? They wouldn't even be attending high school during the same time period.

Jin's a 92 liner and he was 27 when he got the enlistment questions. How old are 95 liners now? 27. How old are they required to enlist? 28.

Crazy how some monsta x members are turning 29 soon and they don't get "dodging enlistment" comments.

  • bc no one will do a big deal about it, they will just go and be over it

  • TBF neither did BTS. They have some form of alternate service or something but that's not an exemption.

You mean the BTS that literally expanded the distribution of Korean Music worldwide? Hon before BTS, korean albums weren't distributed in the US and other parts of Europe. It was due to BTS's demand that Korean Albums are being distributed in Retail Stores like Target.

If you check who were actually granted exemptions, they were granted such for bringing honor to SK through art and sports.

Who are the ambassadors of Seoul? Who were appointed as Envoys of SK government? Who spoke at the United Nations and the White House?

SK likes to use BTS to further their agreements with other countries and use them to get advantages like what happened at the MET, but refuses to recognize their impact until it hit them hard during the actual enlistment announcements.

  • Because there was never any question around them serving. The fandom and the company assume they'll serve when it's their time.

  • TBF neither did BTS. They have some form of alternate service or something but that's not an exemption.

the first criteria - Presidential Commendation iirc - was too extreme even & the 26 companies that started this whole mess complained that none of their groups would ever be able to get that.

so they MORE than qualified (not even starting on global achievement) - probably overqualified,

it's just that kgovernment kept changing the goalpost (for something the boys didn't even want, mind you).

  • Because none of them are trying to get an exemption.

and neither did bts, they were always gonna enlist

it's just pathetic companies (like sm, pledis,.. and 24 others) that kept pushing this agenda

in hopes that, if bts qualified, their own groups would qualify

  • Interesting since BTS aren't the ones who initiated the exemption talks. It was every company EXCEPT Bighit. Wanna know who tried to use BTS's achievement to try and get Kpop idols exempted? SM. YG. Pledis. Cube. Jellyfish. Starship. Etc., Who's groups did I use as examples? SM and Pledis.

So who's trying to get exemptions now?

You are kinda overlooking the BTS achievements part here. If BTS is enlisting then this venture was obviously unsuccessful and everyone else is unlisting as well. It's not THAT crazy that no one is questioning why a 95 liner is not enlisting yet when no one is expecting them to currently and no one is expecting them to fail to do when it is time to do so.
