    As one of the biggest HyuDawn fans on here and a long-time Dawn fan, I wasn't that surprised with their breakup.

    I'm gonna tell you why - Return of Superman. I love that show and I watched their episode with baby Zen. It was clear from the start that the two of them weren't on the same page about marriage and family life.

    Dawn was great with Zen, really fatherly but also fun, he engaged with him well, he was talking about kids, married life, and so on.

    Hyuna was a bit more reserved and awkward, you could tell this wasn't her forte and she wasn't that comfortable and she was looking at them interacting and she kept saying how Dawn was going to be a great father, and nothing about herself.

    Like, it was clear he wanted to get married and have kids, while she wants neither of those at this point or possibly ever. It was obvious even in a kids' show.

    Pair that up with her recent interview in which she said she doesn't think she wants to get married (after he already proposed to her), her previously expressing she's not big on marriage or kids, and him being the opposite, this was the unsurprising course of action.

    I'm still sad because it's clear there's still much love between them, but ultimately it's fair and probably the best for both.

    If one partner wants marriage and kids and the other the opposite, one will always be unhappy.

    He showed how much love and respect is still between them by immediately defending her like this, refuting the bad rumors and threatening to sue the rumor making shitstirrers .

    I respect their choice to breakup, if things didn’t work out they didn’t work out, but on a selfish level I’m really sad. They were the first real public kpop couple we’ve gotten and I absolutely loved their dynamic. They both seemed so incredibly supportive of each other. Even when tv hosts were trying to start drama about Dawn being younger and less successful I never sensed any insecurity from him and that was so incredibly likeable

    Dawn is kind man with many talents and I hate that people think he was in her shadow. He never seemed to have thought that way so I don't see why other people are being insecure on his behalf (like those hosts). I totally get what you mean.

    I know people are saying they're worried for him and wondering what he has left now, but he's an amazing producer and songwriter, a great dancer and rapper with great stage presence and I'm hoping he continues pursuing those avenues. I'm not worried for Hyuna whatsoever, but I'm not worried for him either.

    It's sad to me as well they broke up, but they really were in two different places.

    don't know when it was filmed but if recently then maybe her heart was already somewhere else

    or they've actually had the talk about kids, Dawn said no, but then in tv show he was playful etc.

    so Hyuna was surprised and felt weird about being there


    we don't know how it is, so we can only assume this or that

    both of them were pretty open about their wants, Hyuna herself said she never thought of herself as having kids or getting married while he said the opposite so I do believe they knew that about each other and maybe this situation just made it real for both of them

    we really don't know, I agree, but whichever it is - both have been open and honest for years, even when he was in Pentagon he was talking about being a dad one day so I don't think it's something he suddenly decided

    I find it sweet how both of them still go hard for each other

    there are many people who will only start thinking about being parents when they are financially stable, as a couple, not as individual

    I don't really think that Dawn was making big money, his albums had low sales, and he didn't chart well...

    so if Hyuna would want to be a mom then she will probably be 'sidelined' for 2-3 years

    this is overall another hard thing to talk about hehe

    Let’s be honest a lot of that “concern” was pure misogyny. They seemed to struggle with the idea of a woman like Hyuna not wanting a big and rich man. Instead she wanted someone who was kind and respected her. Shocker X/.

    This play such a big role in adult relationship, in that fase where u "should want kids" "should have kids" or u simply "don't want them ever".


    Even if the love is there for each other If both don't want the same there is simply not point in it unless one give up on it and it shows both stand strong in what they truly wish for their future.

    Very true their relationship was nice but was not going to work out the only question he has to ask himself is was it worth it? He's still very much In love with her. Only time will tell if he can move on or not. She on the other hand probably will be unbothered and move on very quickly
