How did bighit found bts members??

  • Istg they're only popular because of their members, it was pure luck. When I look at their new BGs I don't believe this is the same company who debuted bts. The whole vibe is different.

  • bang PD is really really lucky is all I will say

  • for me too lol, they are focusing more on visuals & rich boys now. And their newer boygroups lose bts in everything: rap, vocals, dance, stage presence, songwriting & visuals (taehyung literally outvisuals everyone lol)

They're delusional they might have thought that bts got famous because of visuals especially ml and tried to recreate them meanwhile this wasn't the case.

  • Bighit focused more on talent and creativity back then. Only Jin and Taehyung were chosen for their visuals, but even they were very determined to work hard and succeed. The newer groups don't seem to have that determination and teamwork. LSFM might be an exception though.

  • because back then there focus was less visuals and more on talent.

Today's bighit would never recruit rm, jhope and jimin based on how they used to look back then. Not saying they were ugly, but they did not have standard faces of kpop idols and jimin had a lot of baby fat in his cheeks. They debuted on basis of their skills and look at them now. For me RM has most sexy charisma in all of bts, hoseok is literally glowing and jimin's visuals is just chefs kiss.

But bighit nowa days debuts 16 year old trainees and judge their visuals when literally they are teens and have not evolve into their faces. Focus is less on talent and more on training and idol who is fair enough in all of fields but excels in nothing.

It's interesting you didn't mentioned suga. i don't think they'd debut him either

Like others said, it was pure luck. If it wasn't, hybe would be able to recreate everything and make new bts which is obviously not happening.

I don't want to drag other boy groups, the members give all their best, but there's nothing special about any of them. If they were from non big 4 companies they would be either nugu or nugu-ish

And their songs too... if everyone here forgot about that...

Bang doesn't understand why BTS got famous in the first place and it shows so much in their new boygroups. They think they can recreate the charisma and star energy that BTS members have naturally by making their new trainees get surgery, having them study BTS member's mannerisms, using BTS's old producers to make them songs, using BTS's old concepts, and then mediaplaying everywhere about being IT boys. It's so funny when you step back and look at it

V's talents are highly under utilized by the company, they only recruit him for his visuals. He has my favourite vocals in entire kpop, I hope we see more of it in his solo album.

To be fair no other labels can recreate BTS too. They are one in a life time phenomenon

And I'm surprised that no bts member was ever mediaplyed as it boy.

especially when they have several. The entire maknae line are more popular than any other group's most popular member

the only explanation I have is that bang pd doesnt stick up towards hybe (for any ordinary reason like money, doesnt care etc),0 bc the man was about passion in music, dance and rap back in the day and now their boygroups, even tho they have great songs and good looking members, just lack the charisma...

Heh. Jhope was literally streetcasted to be an actor in a musical movie. Do you know what type of people are the only one being streetcasted? Visuals and in general people who has beautiful face. He also won that popularity award in jyp competition. He has had all he needed to get into idol career from the start. Honestly it's really incredible how hard hybe fcked his marketing and perspective of him and still keep on doing it..

Suga, Rm, Jimin, even V are the ones who would not have make it in idol company if it wasn't as broke as bighit.

What makes Bts different from anyone hybe is debuting nowadays is their rapline and origin as hip-hop group cause indeed bighit's intention at the begining helped them to get lucky with rapline as group's core and build everything else around them. They got 3 talented musicmakers with real dedication and passion to music and to speaking up their stories. They also snatched jhope who has had dedication and passion for stage to spread this passion to other members and to be authoritative enough to lead them and make them practise till the perfect result, without him everything about their stage would be different.

Also due to such start Bts and the stories rapline could talk about weren't as polished and calculated as everything hybe is doing now which gave the group and their music authentic and genuine feeling back then.

Hybe's current visuals obsession aside all above is really hard to copy in a typical calculated idol company which is hybe now.

ignoring your jhope akgae tendencies but some things are straight facts, its something we see a lot with companies that have that one big breakout group, the ones after them tend to be more polished bc they have too many eyes on them

  • They got "lucky" in a way that they were put together in a group . I didn't say they didn't hard work or had boring songs but even with music really good some groups are struggling. Hybe applied same formula to their other groups and they're not at bts level and leads me to the conclusion they're famous only because of the members themselves.

Why V? I'm curious? I believe they'd debut him and push him as the it boy.
