They're like saying your fave idol in Kpop is SM instead of an artist under SM. FIFA is the football organisation that runs and governs the World Cup.

I don't know much about handegg/NFL but isn't super bowl just 2 teams only for the trophy at the end vs the world cup which has 32 teams competing? Unless you mean the world cup final which would also be 2 teams so nothing different between 2 competitions

I suppose the Super Bowl since the actual event is only between two teams. 50% chance of getting it right.

For the World Cup there are certain teams with higher chances of winning than others, but it's generally much harder to predict. I would have never guessed Croatia would have reached the final of the World Cup and Germany to be knocked out on group stage, and it happened in 2018.

8 groups of 4 teams (total 32). Everyone in each group pays each other once and top 2 decided by points (and other factors in case of tied points) of each group go through to next round. 16 in total advance to the knockout stages to play 1 game eliminations.

16 teams become 8 (known as round of 16 or round 2)

8 becomes 4 (quarter finals)

4 become 2 (semi finals)

2 become 1 (the final)

There's also a 3rd place game the day before the final between the 2 losers of the semi finals but no no one really cares much about that lol, not even the players.
