Nmixx: is there still hope for them to click with the public?

  • Amidst the onslaught of Ive, NewJeans, Lsrfm and Gidle, can Nmixx still compete to be the public’s favorite?

  • Not unless they have a major change in their sound. Their songs are just not good at the moment, which is sad considering they have two of the best vocals in 4th gen.

Either JYP needs to give them better music or they need a complete revamp. Otherwise, they're going to get left in the dust by NJ, LSF, IVE, IDLE, and potentially YGNGG, too.

I agree. If they want to reel in more fans and JYP is hell bent on sticking to their “mixx” sound then they should make better “mixx” music or I think they’ll just stay stagnant. Their engagement and youtube views for their reality show and vlogs are not good. JYP needs to be more creative in making the videos and please hire a new stylist!

  • it's not looking good for them tbh. What's worse is that there are still so many girl groups to come. HYBE alone is going to flood the industry next year with their Pledis and I-land GG, then you got YGNGG, SMNGG (because Aespa apparently isn't enough). They haven't found any stable ground and already these new girl groups are going to come with an earth quake so how will they survive?

  • But to be fair, those kind of accounts usually cherry pick the comments since they are biased (not too sure about that particular account though, just in general). Even though it’s cherry picked, I do agree those 4 are the favorites 4th gen ggs as of now. I’m surprised LSF and Gidle are able to bounce back and I’ve noticed they have gained many fans this current comeback though after a “scandal”.

  • I still think it's possible for them to get a popular song in Korea if they make something more GP friendly. They only debuted this year and have JYP support so there's still time to become more popular. Their new song gets a lot of shit, but it did chart in the Melon Top 100 which says they're getting attention.

People are bringing up Gidle as a top group, but that did take time. They did good at debut, but not at IVE/NJ level. I think Tomboy was what solidified them at the top and that took 4 years.
