You answered the question yourself OP, groups do it AFTER their groups are OVER. Did bp disband after The Album?
-
-
The difference is that Blackpink did very little music, even when they were active as a group.
7 years and what 60 songs?
BLINKs can assuage themselves with excuses like "Quality over quantity" - but that excuse can apply if BP were self producing idols. They are not, they are still only performing idols.
The other excuse is blame the agency, but when the credit of the success is taken by the idols/group, the discredit alone can't be pushed upon the agency.
YGE proved with Blackpink, that music is not that critical to the success of a group, popularity and profits can be achieved in other ways. So in that sense, BP is a trendsetter.
But BP & Music, that is just a hobby.

The groups are doing it to get the bp life afterwards. If given a opportunity they'll leave it as soon as they can. They care about music and performance as much as bp.

Exactly. Red velvet never pens any of their songs but are given a free pass because they aren't popular

OP is embarrassing the rest of us blinks...

60 songs, what? Try 29 songs and a couple features with Lady Gaga and Dualipa.

What has writing songs got to do with a fee passor not? The main aim at the end of the day is music charts and sales, self written songs mean fuck all to the fans who will buy anything regardless and public who likely won't even be aware who wrote what.
99% of groups don't produce their own music (I mean actually produce, not just write lyrics) and yet there still able to top charts. That includes RV and BP. So does that mean both a shit because they don't write?

2ne1 weren't going to fashion shows or parties instead of promoting though. Hell even SNSD when they had super packed schedules in different countries still regularly performed on Korean music shows when they had a CB.

+100.

Their discography was still 2 albums and 2 minis in 6 years
-
OP seem to want BP to disband
-
It's not 2010 anymore. Promoting doesn't mean just going to music and variety shows that don't get eng subs for worldwide audience until much later if ever
Fashion and endorsement work keeps them in news in between release and getting paid so what's not to like?
As for music, Rosé did gave blinks those covers on her birthday and sea of hope.
Or perhaps what folks really meant was fan service. Yeah, they're not really big on that except for the occasional vlogs.

Y'all making up stuff like "quality over quantity".
IVE is as busy as anyone in the industry, but they can still pump out quality music and comebacks. Hell, they just had 3 consecutive HUGE hits in a row.
You can have the quantity in music as well as quality at the same time. One shouldn't affect the other.
