I didn't even realise how much it repulses me until I ended up sitting next to someone in class who constantly snacks and always chews with her mouth wide open. She grunts and slurps, smacks her lips and even noisily licks her fingers... In the middle of class! Last week she even unpacked her lunch while the rest of us were still writing a test because she was done with hers and feeling hungry.

I didn't even realise how much it repulses me until I ended up sitting next to someone in class who constantly snacks and always chews with her mouth wide open. She grunts and slurps, smacks her lips and even noisily licks her fingers... In the middle of class! Last week she even unpacked her lunch while the rest of us were still writing a test because she was done with hers and feeling hungry.
I also hate it when people talk while they still have food in your mouth. I mean, if you're going to do that AT LEAST cover your mouth so no one has to see it!
Also, there's no reason to chew smacking your lips. I would tell them to stop but it's hard to make "please close your mouth with you chew" sound polite and respectful lol

Right? It's basic table manners. Nobody wants to see the half chewed food in your mouth.
But I'm not sure I want to broach that particular subject with my classmate again. During the test incident I whispered to her, asking her to please not make noise while others are still working and trying to concentrate on the task and she just snorted, telling me it wasn't her fault I wasn't done yet. I was so embarrassed. She basically called me stupid in front of everyone.

Yeah, exactly...I'd rather you just not talk to me at all than to talk with your lips smacking and chewed up food in your mouth. Take a break from talking if you need to. Or at least cover your mouth which isn't that hard either.
Oh my goodness, that's terrible...
I would be trying my hardest not to just snap and that's a lot coming from me. I'm generally a very patient and calm person.
But it is really hard to ask someone to stop those habits without making them annoyed or angry. Because then they act like you did something terrible when they themselves are kind of just being annoying and a distraction.
