Why do Twice members endorse so many unknown brands?

  • Do people think they're getting paid a lot for the brands they do work for?

Is there no demand for them with big brands outside of getting them social media clicks like they do with a lot of kpop idols, hence they get invites and the odd sponsorship. but no muse or brand ambassador opportunities from them?

  • It's about their target demographic. Twice are supposed to have a more "accessible" image, by endorsing brands that are accessible to the average person, they're connecting to a group of people they're supposed to.

The average Twice fan likes to wear golfing clothes?

Golf is literally played by the rich people in SK and is one of the most popular sports there lmao. This endorsement is good for them.

  • Most Korean celebrities, actors specifically, don't have luxury endorsements but most CF Queens are actresses like Jun Ji Hyun, Song Hye Kyo, even Suzy is mainly an actress and they get paid billions of won for 1 CF. As a matter of fact, JJH was last year's biggest CF star and she has only 1(?) high fashion brand deal so yeah.

Twice may endorse local brands but I am sure they earn more than 95% of Kpop industry through their CF deals.

They just renewed their contracts, 3/9 attended this year's fashion week, they are just getting started.

  • There is nothing wrong with endorsing local brands. The only issue I have is when they have group/solo ads for skin whitening brands. That is not something they should be encouraging especially now that they have a lot of internaional fans.

  • Mina literally endorse SK2 which is well known world wide, go out and explore more instead of staying in your room?

  • Visee is mf huge in Japan. I'm suprised that Tzuyu snagged it but then again most of japan wants to look like her so why not.

I don't see where it was implied big endorsement = high fashion brand deals. Chicken and soju CF's are bigger in terms of scope domestically in South Korea for example. It was just the most relevant as Twice members get invites to shows and sponsored shoots for magazines but brands don't go that one step further.

On what basis do they earn more in CFs than 95% of kpop? They no longer do big brands as a group and not all members have individual deals.

How many idols do actually endorse chicken and soju? That's reserved for top artists.

And even if TWICE endorsed a chicken brand, you'd still make this thread lmao.

Like I said, they are just getting started. Do you really expect all of them to become ambassadors/muse of popular brands right after the renewal or what? It doesn't work that way. Most members have their own brand deal something that they didn't have just a year ago.

On what basis? They are legit the 3rd most popular group internationally and a household name in Korea and Japan. Sure, they don't really do well digitally anymore but the Twice brand is huge.

Again, just because you haven't heard of them doesn't mean it's nugu like Pearly Gates is huge in Korea. That vitamin brand had BTS as models before Twice.

Even individually, Wake Make and Apieu are trendy makeup brands. Visée and SKII are huge in Japan.

  • Are they unknown or it’s just you that don’t know the brands? For example mina is the brand ambassador for sk2 and it is really huge in Japan, one of the most popular high end cosmetics brands there.
