is it easy to get another Hamster where you live?
They give only birth in spring and since hamster don't turn that old its not the best idea to adopt from the animal shelter, especially not when the side says some shit like "senior hamster needs home" ... you will most likly adopt a hamster than that passes away within the next few days
Also I'm curently having my cage on sale, but IDK if anyone is even willing to buy it

depending on it 1.5 to 3 years
But most hamster never turn older than 2 since a study showed that most hamster owner feed to much food with sugar (even fruits are too much since the hamster is small, so they should only have vegetables) and therefore 3/4 of all hamster end up with diabetes and often die on too high sugar in their blood wich apparenty shortens the live-span of mosr hamster about 3 to 6 months. That means if your hamster dies when it's 2 it could've become 2.5 years old if it wasn't diabetes.
My hamster died cause it had mites. I went to the vet multiple times but the medicine didn't worked so I thought I should buy a highly recomended treatment from Amazon but it needed 1 week to arive wich is a long time for a hamster. A website about mites in my country has a section for almost all pets (and of cause a section for humans too) and I looked on there in the Hamster-section wich had a lot usefull tips when you have a hamster who has mites. The post said it is fatal to start treatments too late cause it can stress the pet and in the worst case even cause death. I think my hamster was too stressed, despite that I tried everything I could and still nothing was working. I also noticed how stressed she seemd before passing away cause as I saw her lying in the cage like if she had something, I wanted to put her outside and look at it and she seems to have been stressed and bite me cause of that.
