YG's less is more tactic is genius and stupid at the same time. (a.k.a story of blackpink)

you are giving YG too much credit lol most of BP's delays are mismanagement other YG groups go through the same.

I don't know why you are so obsessed with YG and blackpink you always try to find a way to discredit bp's success.

a lot of groups have tried the hiatus formula assuming it's "genius" but don't see it working for them...

So i didn't read your thread cuz it's too long so here's my own take on topic,

So this whole thing of giving the group one comeback a year to starve the public only works when the group has big fandom already Blackpink brand is huge each member has a great fandom that is ready to support not matter what, but take a look at Winner and iKon YG followed this strategy and killed whatever hype the group has.

So tldr: This tactic only works because it Blackpink

They haven't had nothing though. Rose had a very successful solo debut, Lisa is about to follow, Jisoo's drama project is released soon. Really it mainly sucks for Jennie this year, but all four have had long stretches of nothing to do.

YG is just never going to be prolific, it's not how they work.

Honestly Blackpink hit it big since their debut with Whistle. They just genuinely have one of the STRONGEST and BEST discography is all of K-Pop

Fans hate YGE. Horrible management of their artists when it comes to releasing music. They need to hire better people

Rose solo lasted for a month or two

then Lisa will follow in September

what happened in those months they did nothing? they could have made Lisa solo in June

then Blackpink comeback on October

to be honest, dont really care about blackpink getting bigger, they dont need the break or hype

they're already the BIGGEST gg now

I even think that even the girls themselves lose the motivation of making new music because YG management is just incompetent.
