I know for sure BP are a top group but I'm questioning how big onces claim Twice is....
When I see groups like IVE managing to outsell them in 9 months it puts things into a different perspective.
Also Aespa, Itzy and soon more.
Twice should be selling 2x the amount of these groups if they were really that huge.
They seem like a trend that lasted a bit longer since 3rd gen had no real competition but now that 4th gen is here it's starting show Twice didn't have much power.

Twice managed to have hits for 2 more years until they were surpassed both physically and digitally and they never had a hit since 2018. They were also never referred as a digital monster like their other 2 top gg contemporaries

Twice was huge. Everytime they comeback, they will hit number 1 in Korea. Japan also was Twice’s playground and was the number 1 Korean act until BTS took over later (in 2019 or 2020). Now, Twice is a stable act and still growing globally especially in the USA. They really are the third most successful kpop group for 3rd gen.

The only thing that declined was kcharts, which btw will decline for all these hot ggs too once they aren’t the shiny new thing
Everything else is stable and growing. Twice even getting huge hit with the feels in jpn as a 6 year gg when other ggs big in Japan like Kara and snsd declined heavily in jpn at that point

The way I didn't bring anything about quality into the table lmao. Twice managed to hit it right making gp stuffed of their musics and concepts. The only reason they were succesful back in 2016-2018. After the comebacks slowed down they started flopping.

No GG has ever been a digital monster - none of them reached the levels IU, Bigbang or BTS achieved on the digital charts. So whoever you claim as digital monsters don't exist - not on Korean charts.
Twice were indisputably 'huge' among GGs during 2016-2018 period plus few months, and they have declined since.
Blackpink took a different path, they did not best Twice in the initial years. But since 2019, they are the top GG from 3rd gen, but the issue with BP is that their releases are so few and infrequent, that they often were left holding the title, by default, without actually being tested.
Twice decline on K-charts since 2019, does not erase their history of success pre-2019.
I don't know why SNSD gets pulled into these conversations. But anyway,

BTS makes up for the slightly lower peaks by their impressive longevity.
Bigbang are the Peak Kings, but lower on Longevity

People just lying to themselves about twice now. Every single metric theyre pretty in the top 3. Name one and theyre there. They have the most number one hits and sales of their gen by a large margin. Also lol at bringing in the current sales like this isnt the most fishy and inflated era of sales ever where anyone is getting 1m sales.

This. Look at every other metric beside charting. Sales, awards, streams, touring, billboard achievements, etc, Twice is to 1 to 3 in like everything else.
People who don't shower like to bring up the one metric that works in their favor and ignore everything else.
In Korea I can definitely say that BP has a bigger career than Twice.
BP has easily passed most of Twice's records outside of Gaon album sales. The gap keeps widening.
Twice hasn't had a hit in Korea in years, so their career seems to be worth very little. Even SNSD can come back with a hit, but after just 3-4 years of activity Twice has flop after flop with no signs of being relevant anymore.
Even when Twice comes back, they aren't even more searched on Melon than BP.
