    Post Pink Venom still being #1 or #2 in each chart during the most competitive month of the year, smashing Spotify Korea records for all KPOP groups, and pulling 500K+ ULs (matching their LSG numbers without promo yet, when y'all have been using the "Melon is dying you can't compare between years" argument to defend your faves not being able to crack 400K for 2 years now) and increasing every day: BP have so much hype in SK, everyone knows them there, they are the #1 GG, they should be #0 in all the charts, 3rd gen is over because they are flopping so hard sitting at #2 pulling more ULs than 95% of kpop songs this year

    The goalposts definitely get moved for BP lol. The comeback is successful in every way, digitals domestically and international, physical sales, SM engagement.


    But what we're seeing right now, if Ive does overtake BP, could be the final nail in the coffin for the Third Age.


    BTS is gone for now and no other BG makes an impact in Korea, Twice might never regain their former glory there, RV hanging on doggedly but not considered among the very top of Kpop any more, OMG in danger of collapsing, MMM all but disbanded...who is left to be the standard bearer for the third gen?


    If BP ends up running 3rd behind both the Hybe group and Ive in Korea...



    Blackpink as a group will be killing it till at least 2025. That will be their PEAK.

    Then they will kill it individually.

    Musically in the US except Jisoo. And Jisoo will become a top actress in Korea. And might hit it with some viral show like squid game who knows.

    lmao IVE has a long way to go to overtake other groups let alone blackpink being #2 on melon it's not the end of the world. Blackpink can come out with a more public friendly song next time and go straight to #1 they have the global appeal and big fandom no girl group can come close to them.

    It will be a long time until Ive dethrone Blackpink but other groups? They already have internationally and so far they are the only 4th gen gg that scored consecutive hits in Korea. In physicals they are also stomping even selling 1m with a single album. Only Bp still is a wall for them.

    Don’t get why they are called the top gg when aespa has higher sales and rookies are charting better even after all those hiatus they did. They should hit number 1 like big bang.

    why does the biggest gg in the world(that you all love to brag about) needs promo is the question they can't answer. they are breadwinners of the company like the stans say, but for some reason big bang can easily get #1 and stay there for a month with no promo after hiatus, so why can't bp?

    listing all those achievements yet can't hit #1 in their country? being blocked by a 1 month old rookie?

    acting like victims as if bp are the only exception in kpop. their fandom stays on everybody's neck yet when the energy returned, suddenly it's goalposts move for bp and you are all hypocrites. when you scream about bp being the best and even surpassing (even being better) bts, people will expect only the best from them.

    Because BP doesnt make songs catering to Korea. Their aim is different to BB. They can have domestic success if they release songs catering to Korea but clearly their target is the best. It's not really that hard to understand tbh.
