Sm never understood the intranational market he's still uses outdated kpop music to try to appeal to the west, the only time Sm got it right is when they literally did a cover of an already existing American song from a well known movie Next level wouldn't have that popular if So made it

But in the west no one knew Next Level. So no, they have done nothing at any point to create any interest in the west.

And that's not even a problem for SM as they have songs like Bad Boy, Psycho and etc. They know how to make catchy, public friendly music. I think a title track like Exo's Lucky One would match aespa so well. But SM is too busy with trying to make aespa look like Blackpink and getting attention in US. It's only hurting their image and it's sad to see.

I bet sm is asking the producer to make a song like after like with a popular sample in west lmaoo

but how can Ive chart without kwangya, lore, AIs, black mamba and superhero concepts??

I think SM will give up on trying to copy Blackpink. I hope they don't try to copy Ive next. They should tone down the delusions of grandeur a wee bit.
I think Kaachi is a more realistic option. They are pretty close visual wise, just need to work on the singing and stage presence and with a little hard work and dedication i think SM might be able to pull it off.
Anyway, just a thought

with good listenable music.
not with some kind of old man delusion as their core concept

As long as their music is easy on the ears any crazy lore could work - just look at Exo; but SM should focus of having title tracks with wider appeal and stop the cringy similarities with BP first. I am not even asking aespa to change their sound, just give them more titles like Illusion and Next Level and leave the noisy stuff for promotional bsides.
