YES! PINK VENOM HAS A DIFFERENT STRUCTURE AND I LIKE IT!

It's been months since I went back on akp, so many things have happened and my father passed away... but now I'm here to share my thoughts about the newest BLACKPINK comeback.

I didn't know what to expect from the teaser but the instruments sounded very unique and I liked that.

And the song came! I had a good impression of this song since the first listens, unlike the "disappointing" threads yesterday.

The raps were spot on, the pre-chorus was a bit weird with that instrumental but still fine. And THE CHORUS! YES BLACKPINK, AN ANTIDROP WITH LYRICS! I kind of don't like DDDD and KTL because of the same structure, and that structure got passed to HYLT, but HYLT for me was more of a bop than the former two, so it's fine. But this time!

I like that they went for this kind of poppy lighter drop and the smooth raps from Jennie and Lisa, wish Rose and Jisoo could sing it for once hehee. I see why many people say this song is flat or like didn't climax, but I believe it's because last times BP always did a big beat drop. I LOVE LOVE LOVE BP CHORUS WITH LYRICS!

So to be fair, Pink Venom fulfilled my expectations. I hope that it would last long, but for now, I like this song. Congrats BLACKPINK and BLINKS for this amazing comeback!

I was super shocked too! I thought "I bring the pain like" and a heavy drop but they made a FULL LYRICS ANTIDROP like DAMN this is new and I love it 🥰

I think the stems and sounds are very unique, but yes the pre-chorus is a bit off with the vocals and instrumental. But looking at the big picture, this is quite nice and different. I think they made it "disappointing" so that it won't outshine the real comeback.

And now back to Pink Venom SOTY! Yes, this is suuuuper different from anything BP did, the quality is still here, but they really managed to outdo themselves with PV!! The chorus is everything

I like how BP made a difference for their pre-release and I am surprised that many people don't like it (maybe they preferred the usual structure). The beat in the chorus is SICK like WOW and I like Jennie's voice, it sounds seductive.

I loved Jennie's raps and vocals in this song. Visuals, its Jisoo all the way like WOW this time Jisoo really stood out, and she nailed her parts as well!
