She was so close to being part of Twice because she was in SIXTEEN along with the current members of Twice, Chaeyeon, Chaeryeong, Jiwon, Natty, and two other members who haven't debuted in a group or as a soloist yet (Eunsuh who is in Idol School and planning to debut and Minyoung who sort of disappeared from the spotlight for a while).
She is really close to the Twice members, especially Chaeyoung and she was really close to debuting in Twice as she was eliminated in only the final round of Sixteen. They always say she almost debuted in Itzy but was super duper close to debuting in Twice...
