Approved the thread. -
Their fandoms might be less motivated to stream

I don't care what anyone says but a girl group selling more than Aespa should have streams comparable to Blackpink or at least even half that. And if it's because they're more popular in China then why aren't they breaking any of the Chinese digital records since they sell more than Blackpink there?

They own cd players

Im nctzen and yes i listen to their music via cd player and downloaded music on my phone

inflated album sales

You can't attack Aespa for not having BP digitals and at the same time ignore all the boy groups that have double to triple Aespa's sales but can hardly chart in Melon 100 and have lousy streams.
For anybody who pretends to not know about this: album sales is a sign of fanbase size, digitals/charting is a sign of general public interest especially when it's about Korean charts.
To illustrate it even more, Sistar had fantastic charting but abysmal sales numbers, and an illustration of the complete opposite, many boy groups have had huge million+ sales yet can hardly chart.

Streaming is the number 1 thing way in the world to hear music, if aespa has that big ass fanbase why their streams aren't good enough to debut them in global spotify? or why their tts are stuck under the 200m when other groups have went over that number already? why did IVE beat them?

Simple. Because IVE's songs were liked better. Stop equating streams to fanbase size, they are 2 completely different metrics ffs.

Aespa sales are on par with the 4th gen bgs so I'm not sure what "doube to triple sales but can hardly chart in melon top 100" means

i stan nct mainly because of the music but i don't stream their music regularly. i am often busy with work and other real life matters and besides, NCT have many songs, last year alone they release around 80 new songs so even when i am in the mood and have time to stream regularly it literally takes days for a song to come back on shuffle because of how extensive their catalogue is. i don't stream music for the records, i just do it for fun. i genuinely love their music and i am sure it is the same for many other fans here. i used to post in the guild and other nct threads and i noticed that nct fandom is one of the fandoms that take music seriously the most in this forum

Only title tracks have similar streams. B-sides boygroups are outdoing aespa by far
