Blacpink's success is an anomaly tbh. They go against kpop norms, barely releasing content/music in comparison to other kpop groups. Yet, the are the most popular girl group by far!
The thing is, I doubt this success could be replicated. BP's situation is unique, and Blinks are an unusually dedicated and resistant fanbase.
Even a top gg like aespa, suffered a bit after a longer hiatus.
Most Groups don't gain fans and hype during hiatus, but Blackpink does!

tbh, most of YG other acts arent doing too well. Its the management. BP had decent promotion for 1stb year after debut, but then YG went to shit lol.

As for Blackpink, they are an exception. The artistic-creative syngery behind them is so "YGenie-ful" that it's still too difficult to make it a rule in K-Pop.
they are eyy. its good thing and a bad thing imo. i'm glad they are doing well, but if they were any other group thhey really would have it rough with the YG managment style sigh.

well in terms of marketability. I think CL had potential esp in America, but she didn't get there. Rn she's performing in festivals and doing quite well!
