i am pretty sure they would have gotten a daesang either way if they attended any award show. Anyways they will be busy with the touring so they won't have any time to attend award shows.

Why do people bring up daesangs like it matters? It's a running gag atp. The 2nd biggest kpop group in the world but nugu according to sk awards.
Sadly, they'll be obligated to attend them again once they win some US/UK awards.
they are nugu according to western awards too...
they haven't won ONE relevant western award except for that variety one

bp can perform well, but they are way too inconsistent.
in western shows (that aren't hyped festivals or a arena filled with your fans) you can't depend on any fancy camera work, lipsyncing or whatever to help with your performance. you don't get away with not giving 100% of your energy.
except for their synchronisation, jennie is their "weak link". she can be absolutely everything on stage, but she's also the one that occasionally can't be very bothered.

please. BP can put on a good performance if they think it is important. they put on a great show at coachella and their own concerts. so if they get invited to a big US award shows, they won't waste their chance. Lisa alone can save the performance.

probably no daesang this year. its too late in the year to win soty, the other 2 daesangs are almost impossible for female artists, yg would never send bp to nugu award shows that hand out daesangs to all attendees.
but its not a big deal. i bet a lot of groups who do have daesangs would trade them to have BP's global popularity/relevance.

They could have got daesangs if they'd showed up enough. They/YG didn't care. But in 2018 iKon blocked their best shot with Love Scenario. It was better than D4 though.

They never had chance at album or artist because of bts iu exo and same with soty because of bts iu twice. The only time they had chance was soty 2018 but ikon ls was bigger than any other song that year.
bts never blocked bp for american award shows. Bp never competed with american acts to be invited there.

Not the person you quoted. But just wanted to mention, they mentioned their desire to get a Grammy, and any artist who loves and knows music is aware of how important a Grammy is. So I don't think there's anything to be ashamed about.

a PCA is truly nothing to brag about, it's pretty much a kids choice award level of award & the VMA wasn't even a legit, big one; but a last minute instagram-vote one.
you can laugh at bts' wish for a grammy all day, but at the end of the day they have both prestigious asian awards (KMA's, daesangs, Order of Cultural Merit, Special Presidential Envoys,James A. Van Fleet Award, ..) AND prestigious western awards (BBMA's, AMA's, IFPI Awards, EMA's, VMA's, 2 grammy noms,..).
Selena Gomez, A list celeb & collabed with your girls CRIED bc she got her first gram NOM last year, TS CRIED bc she didn't get noms for her album few years back,... but sure. wishing for a grammy as a true musical artists is being desperate/funny.
