Which group would you rather be in: Seventeen or NCT?

    Both are big group, earn lots of money, but have few hits. NCT is criticized for being too experimental while Seventeen is criticized for being too generic. Which one would you rather join?

    none actually but if I had to choose Seventeen. they seem to have more freedom with their music.

    nct because the popular members have more individual recognition/stans than seventeen members (seungkwan has GP fame but not stans). If I wanted a solo career after, I'd rather be a popular nct member. Being unpopular in NCT is far worse than being the least popular in seventeen though...

    Nct because of individual activites and recognition.

    Svt, I don't need to worry about forgetting the name or faces of new members every few months.

    Nct 127's least popular member released an ost that gained 1M uls and charted for like 3 months on the top 100 of melon daily

    Svt. Seems like a fun group to be in. The akgae issues don't seem to be as crippling as those in nct. Plus they're recognized as a big groups without the microscope that makes scandals out of literally anything. More money too.

    Seventeen. I like their closeness. With NCT it feels very manufactured, some of them very clearly do not fuck with each other. They give me EXO co-worker vibes. That Seventeen could live alone at this point but still choose to share apartments and go on vacation with each other is charming to me. Also that they're so close to each other's families.

    If I wanted to prioritize the experience, Seventeen. They're obviously a lot closer. And I would have to see less akgae fights, or potentially feel bad about my popularity within the group.


    If I wanted to prioritize my individual career, NCT. While the NCT system makes it impossible for all members to form close relationships with each other, it's also thanks to the system that NCT members feel somehow more visible, less overshadowed by the name of their group. I can name every NCT member but not all members of Seventeen. And I think SM would give me a solo faster.

    If living together and visiting each other families is your criteria for a real friendship that's what nct members do too. Each unit have mentioned their members knowing each other families, some even went on vacations with a member's family.

    But since you mentioned exo also i guess your comment isn't based on real observations just vibes and narratives about SM groups

    Seventeen DK also released a OST for the same drama and it didn't do half as well as Taeil.


    Taeyong collab did better than Hoshi and woozi solos on spotify. Not to mention it doing better than Mingyu and wonwoo featuring Lee hi in kcharts. Mark's solo also did way better.

    Why are ppl acting like SVT member’s ost 8-Teen and Is It Still Beautiful (their most recent ost) didn’t do well on charts. These two refused to fall off charts after several months.
