Who will be the next idol-actress/actor to breakout?

    Over the years, we have many idols who are able to hit it big in the acting scene, IU, D.O., Jinyoung, Junho, Sejeong, Rowoon, etc.


    Who do you predict will be the next big idol actor/actress? Who will break the idol-actor prejudice?

    Well if we are to name everyone then there are a bunch of 1st Gen idols, who are doing very well in acting indeed.

    Jang Nara, Seo Hyun Jin etc.


    Just that their idol days are more than a decade old that nobody remembers them as idols, but only as actors/actresses.


    Frankly even Suzy, her music has been so little and so infrequent, that it hardly matters that she was once an idol.

    I would've said Lee Naeun, but her career is over.


    Tbh no one, since I don't think not many idols right now are famous or "GP-friendly" enough to land a lead role right away. It might be a while for some to do small roles before getting into lead roles.


    But if I had to guess, maybe Jung Chaeyeon? She's the lead in a drama with Sungjae coming out later this year. She's well-known and popular enough domestically to "breakout" as an actress.

    Don’t know if she counts as an idol, but Minju.


    If we’re talking idols only, maybe ive‘s Yunjin? Heard she’s good at acting
