lowkey funny to see the difference in perception of wonyoung

whenever a post abt her is made in a korean forum, literally 95% of the comments are compliments and then the other 5% is haters. however, a post abt her on an international forum just gets flooded with hate and there's like 5% support. akp isnt really as bad, i feel like a lot of ppl on akp were kinda like that during her izone and early ive years but then grew to love her but everywhere else is so brutal for wonyoung while she continues to be treausred in korea

There are more posts talking about people hating on Wonyoung than actual posts that hate on Wonyoung

it's because international fans have more taste than just a face

I literally saw someone say she has an arrogant image and I was so confused.

The thing is, a girl can never be pretty AND confident in herself at the same time or she is labeled "arrogant" or "conceited" or "bitchy" or whatever. People with lots of insecurities can't help but project onto her, which is really sad.

I feel like with ifans there is more of a culture of being open about their insecurities so when they see a girl like Wonyoung who is super pretty but doesn't absolutely hate anything about herself it makes them angry. Think of that scene in mean girls when Regina George and the rest of the girls who are absolutely gorgeous but when they look in the mirror they start pointing out all their flaws. That's the kind of thing they expect from Wonyoung.

Honestly people are just too obsessed with Wonyoung. They just hate her for every little things (even stupid things) as if she has done horrible thing to them.

But I just think her haters are just loud, there are more people who love her. Those haters just help Wonyoung become even more popular, sad

The hate she get is very similar to the ridiculous amount of hate Jennie used to get. She even got hate for not completely flipping her hair even though she had to host a show after that.

Wonyoung is lucky she was homeschooled or I bet that she would have been accused of bullying too. People hate seeing a successful, confident and pretty girl. She mirror their insecurities and internalized misoginy.

She is seriously beloved in Korea, from elementary school kids to older adults. 4th gen it girl me thinks.
