How inflated is the 1.6M pre orders ?

I don't believe it for one second. They're big but not THAT big. Like that is early Bts level big, which...isn't plausible. Even Enhypen doesn't have that many pre orders for their latest album and its their FIFTH album. Girls is only the second album & has crossed 1.6 M BEFORE release? IMPOSSIBLE. Its fishy. Where are their streaming numbers to account for that many sales? They could barely sell 6k tickets at LA. Not cracking 5M monthly listeners on Spotify. Enha has way better Spotify numbers. If everybody sold their albums for $8 everybody would be a million seller too.

I would say it will be around 800k - 900k preorder without digipacks.

It’s not technically inflated, they just use digipacks. People can say what they want about it being a cheap tactic, but it’s valid on physical tracking sites nonetheless.

Plus, Aespa has a huge Chinese fandom, so their sales come mostly from there.

To be fair everyones sales, especially 2021 and after are very inflated (except for BTS who sell at really high price) but yes aespa happened to have most of their fans in the country that bulk buy most, cheap versions also help. They are not even bigger than TWICE streaming wise, forget about BP.

enhypen did not release pre-orders. hybe no longer releasing pre -orders starting with bts . nweys, album sales are fandom base so charting anywhere does not necessarily mean high album sales. i know aespa is big but i dont think they can crack 1M if not bec of the digipack & sm’s media play. let see if they can sell 1M in a week in Hanteo
