literally the same thing I was confused about when Armys started crying about the government wanting to use BTS as a precedent to give more idols exemptions for doing well overseas. Yes, I get that the way they were using BTS was annoying and giving the group lots of hate, but that's not the part i'm talking about. The part I am talking about is only the result that would have come about. I saw so many Armys angry that because BTS other idols might get the opportunity for exemption. Like, you guys always talk about paving the way and when a real opportunity arises you guys throw a tantrum?

It is extremely contradictory.

always seams to be the bigger fandoms also... hmmmmm

it's also contradictory to deny bts paving the way while your favs are literally walking on every path bts used to take.
Even nugus?

it's also contradictory to deny bts paving the way while your favs are literally walking on every path bts used to take. both sides are hypocrites i guess?
No judging, just very curious to what path that is. Maybe it's something I don't know. What path that current idol couldn't walk prior to BTS? Have any other idol before BTS walked that path? If you're talking about achievements, then it's not an argument I can come up with because that relates to fans, the more fans you have the more achievement you will get. But what path did BTS opened that wasn't already available to current idols or one that older gen hasn't walked?

Lol ARMYs are still acting like BTS was the first kpop group to ever touch down on land outside of South Korea. They have definitely charted best and been most awarded but they are not the first to do everything.
K-pop existed before BTS and will exist after BTS, too.
Kpop will go back to being irrelevant after BTS. The reason it's where it is now and your faves get the opportunities they get now is because of BTS.
And to answer the idiotic OP, the BTS fans aren't upset that the current gen is using the "paved road", it's that these same fans endlessly clowned BTS and their fans for trying to pave the road in the 1st place, starting with the petition to the Blue House for their Daesang to the paper award bs at the BBMAs.

Are you trying to be stupid? I know you're looking for specifics so you can bring up some irrelevant, impactless thing that some 2nd gen group did. The point is simple, BTS' success in the west means that huge wall that prevented any previous kpop group from having opportunities in the west was lowered. The fact that BTS gains viewers and impact in whatever they do in the west, be it a talk show appearance, attending a awards show, having a tour, translates to the west becoming welcoming to other kpop groups.
-
What army ever said that? And what did people say Big Bang paved the way for? Drug use?
-
-
yeah but if you point out that other groups did it first, were big in the west first, won at western award shows first etc army either try to change the narrative or try to change the standard.
It's not worth trying to point out that others paved the way first, just let them believe their delusions.
-
Lol and those fans don't even credit older groups than their faves that paved the way first.
it's also contradictory to deny bts paving the way while your favs are literally walking on every path bts used to take. both sides are hypocrites i guess?
It's also contradictory to deny older 1st gen and 2nd groups paved the way when bts literally walked on every path they used to take. Hypocrites yeah.

Can't even have a proper conversation without name calling? Why the are you so defensive? I don't think I asked any questions that weren't relevant to their success or contribution. Also, why does older gen automatically means 2nd gen?
JFC, not everyone on here is out to get BTS blood.

Lol please recant what idols/groups were big in the west 1st and what awards you're talking about. I want to laugh.
I find the talk of delusions by you hysterical when you are literally creating an alternate universe in which idols/groups were impactful/relevant and big in the west before BTS.
P.S. Your anon name fits what you're selling buddy.
