Does Anyone Else feel this

Hmm. I think if my faves had stayed in the same place they were when I started stanning them in my teens, I might feel that way but I feel like my idols have grown up just like I have. They talk about their careers and their songwriting and their struggles and going to museums or listening to the music they like instead of what their favorite color is or "what kind of girl they like." They also talk about their kpop personas and how they differ from their own personalities, or embrace the contrast between their on and off-stage personas rather than acting like they are always like that 24-7. I mean you see that stuff in content but it's nice to hear the person themselves make the distinction between Kai and Jongin or Jaehyun and Yuno or to hear them talk about how they may actually be quieter homebodies like Baek or Taeyong a lot of the time.
EXO, in particular, have enough power and influence to not do the stupid shit they had to do as rookie idols. NCT isn't quite there yet - it is one of my biggest pet peeves that they continue to create content or scenarios for them around hs or college when they are grown ass men (the average age of the members is 25 and 4 members are 27 and up!) They have a sense of humor about it, but it's one of the things I appreciate that EXO doesn't have to do anymore.
Sometimes they still do silly things like we all do and have fun not taking things seriously (or choosing to take the little competitions very seriously if they are Jaehyun ) Mostly I think the older idols have learned to draw those boundaries around themselves.

I totally agree with the EXO analogy
even way back during EXO showtime ( i binged that show like hell ) I felt they were very uncomfortable acting
which made sense cause they debuted much older than most idols
but they dropped the act really fast with the years

yeah the overreaction to everything is a massive part
although, it always used to be the same
its just not as entertaining at this age anymore
Yeah I don't even enjoy watching kdramas that much.
