Honest opinion on j-hope - MORE

  • I'm not hating guys, don't take this as bait, just my honest thoughts :pepe-pray:

First of all This kind of music was so unexpected, it's very unusual in Kpop as well. But I'm glad he likes what's he's doing.
Personally, this type of music/song isn't my cup of tea and I don't find it listenable or enjoyable, It is kinda hard to digest, maybe if I try to listen it many times I'll like it. I actually like the music itself, it goes well with rap too, but overall the feel is different. Rap parts are catchy but the chorus is the least likeable to me and I wish it was different. Though I know it has it's audience and I'm sure they are there for him. I don't take this on the level of title track, because it's just a pre-release so I'm looking forward to the full album and main title.

anyways good luck j-hope, I always loved his dancing, I hope he includes smth in the upcoming album :finger-heart::pepe-heart-eyes:

  • I really don’t like the chorus, but I guess he wanted to do something different from BTS or even K-Pop.

The concept is really interesting but it doesn’t go anywhere, the production would’ve been top notch with a great chorus and better lyrics

yes chorus is the main problem for me, idk it's just not there

  • I can understand. My first issue was also the chorus. But I have to remind you that this isn’t the title track. It’s just an intro to the album. It doesn’t have to show everything

He may be keeping the best for later so watch out :omgr:

Yup I know, that's why I said what I said, I'm waiting for full album to be released :finger-heart:

  • I love it. It reminds me of when the Beatles went from Rubber Soul to Revolver. It was a huge left turn. Obviously beyond the drug infused inspirations, they also were working with sitar and middle eastern musical inspirations as well.

I love More. When fans on Twitter were making comparisons between this release and music by Linken Park or early Beastie Boys, it also took me to my early days of listening to different genres of music.

It was such a surprise and left turn for JHope. I admire him for doing something so different and really exploring himself as an artist
