does ive have a huge fanbase or just 2 really promoted songs?

i was looking at their spotify streams and the difference between love dive+eleven and royal+take it is kinda bad. the thing is, if their streams came from a huge fanbase, royal+take it would have way more because of the way playlisting works so im starting to doubt if they have a big fanbase or whether love dive+eleven were just promoted a lot.

    Approved the thread.
  • Love Dive and Eleven both had really really good playlisting.

Love Dive peaked at around 42 million and maintained around 20 million minimum until mid May. Even now it has more then 12m playlisting reach, which is more than most Kpop songs have on launch.

Eleven had a peak of around 25 million and maintained 20-ish mil for like a month and even now still maintains more than 10 million playlisting reach.

  • Their b-sides streams are bad. But aren't all girlgroups like that except for BLACKPINK? They mostly have one or other exception, but usually the b-sides streams aren't better than IVE's.

  • if the b sides are bad what do you expect? Look at the size Aespa or NCT fandoms and look at their streams? What do you take fans for? No matter how much we love our bias we can only hate our ears so much.

aespa and itzy have bsides are sitting in the 10mil range, groups dives and their token stans have been saying ive eclipsed in spotify lol

    Who hurt you

What do you mean? I literally just looked it up for OP?

This information is just fact and all I did was present it. It took me 3 seconds to type in chartmetric and subsequently less than another minute to look at Ive's stats. No effort or time at all really. It's not offensive or hateful to post this.

  • These are definitely some unrealistic expectations from a rookie group but then again their fans do rub it in everyone face that they are 4th gen international queens. As a non fan for 4th gen ITZY has the spotify lead rn but Ive does have potential.

  • Their b-sides are barely promoted.

They are 7 months old group.

They are not from big 4 so they obviously don't have company stans or more dedicated fandom to stream.

Most people who listen to Eleven and Love Dive are casual listener because they are just good.

  • Kpop fans really love their songs so they have very high casual interest. Something most kpop groups can't claim to have.

  • Only BP has goods streams for bsides, get over it Aespa stan

  • ive has more GP interest than big fanbase

We can see that their debut sale is lower than le sserafim's

But they also never promote their b-side other than in their showcase

Debut sales are low because they were the only 4th gen group to debut without any jewel versions or digipacks. They literally only had two versions of their album.

Meanwhile, Le Sserafim debuted with jewel cases and more than 2 versions. Same with Nmixx and Kep1er. People conveniently forget this when they bring up IVE debut album sales.

If IVE didn't have a strong fandom do you think they would currently be the highest selling 4th gen girl group with 600k sales right now? Of course, Aespa will break it again once they officially comeback but we are speaking as of now.

  • are there gg with strong bside streams? casual fans aren't going to look for a bside, just the hit.

  • they dont have a huge fanbase, in fact their fanbase is still like a 6 month baby growin up. So it most likely they just had a good song that matches gp taste and promoted good too. That will explain why the title track number is huge compared to the bsides (coz the gp may not be bothered to check their bsides, only their title track)

Most of the playlist with high number of follower that IVE has, other has it as well like global viral, kpop daebak, top 50 (country), etc...

The reason why Love Dive peaked at around 42M is because they were in the top 50 of Spotify global with 1.4M streams which make them in the "Top 50 - Global" playlist that have 16.9M followers. Which is the reason why Love Dive peaked around 40M+ in mid-April.

I don't know if having 20M+ playlist is normal, but le sserafim peaked at 28M playlist reach.

Only Blackpink has good streams for beside. Their lowest Bside streams is at 70m range and all the beside from THE ALBUM is already crossed 100m streams and there is also BSiDes with 200m so yeah they are the only girl group.

    your not making any sense

  • Most people don’t even know that their bsides exist tbh, so they ofc can’t give them a listen. Starship should let them promote the bsides on music shows
