  • their weight is normal in their country

    overall you are totally right

also overall there are lot of Idols which have normal, natural weight, besides they are young so of course it's also natural they shouldn't look like Pumba from Lion King

but same time there are very few taller girls which are severly underweight

dude they lie the fuck out of their height and weight

just compare them to non celebs of identical body types and you'll see how normal their BMI is

    idols lie about everything

its a numbers game after all, as someone in this thread already said

  • even if they lie about their height and weight most of them clearly look underweight

the average weight for females in sk are actually almost 60 kg so there's a huge difference between idols' weight and bmi compared to non-celebs and idols' weight aren't normal at all:wellr:

to be genuinely sick from being underweight, you have to be exceptionally skinny, most skinny people, even the lankiest ones, live long and healthy lives and are often more active than their chubby counterparts

that said, at some point, you can get to a genuine concerning point obviously

    it is however very rare

way rarer than people make it look like

compared to overweight that doesnt necessarily cripple you if its not too much, but gives you a ton of lifelong diseases

if you use BMI for example, 18.4 qualifies as underweight yet people can live very healthy and active energetic lives at much lower than that

    so you never really know

a good guess is, if you can see clear bones and stuff ( not super common among idols ) or hair loss or drying skin and just overall low energy levels, thats a pretty telling sign

our eyes and brain are really good at judging health, it's be essential for survival

of course it happens, but its not "most"

    I second this

Even if there’s a standard to be thin in Korea , female idols are way thinner than average women
