getting 86 million or 79 million or 60 million views in first 24hrs on youtube for music video? I don't see it

charting 21 official charts and getting certificates? I don't see it

getting 29 million listeners on spotify? I don't see it

There is no difference. Are you seriously gonna argue that distributors are gonna stock albums for no reason? They're gonna waste time, money and inventory space on ordering albums that they dont think will be sold? They're gonna order what they think will sell based on preorders and previous sales patterns. I have never seen any situation where a preorder article has missed the mark, companies will always be conservative. A company wont embarrass itself by claiming 1M preorders and end up selling only 800k.

I honestly think so. I feel like Mys are out to prove themselves with this album after seeing other groups surpass aespa's first album sales.

oh thanks, I needed this to make sure some mys answered actually logical and not on their wishes

I don't think they will break any THE ALBUM record but I do think their first full album will be huge and can actually do it so probably at the end of the year or the next one

both sm and sm stans want aespa to be the top girl group so yes. they will try every trick to inflate the album sales (many/cheap versions and fansigns)

it looks bad for bp though because YG need to do the same tricks otherwise it won't be a fair comparison.
