How do you guys feel about the bts hiatus??

  • I might sound dumb af but when I first heard about it my heart sank, I really understand them but it's just so hard for me to take it in.

I really just can't take it but I know how important it is for them in the long run but I just can't

    Approved the thread.
  • I feel sad but they said they feel exhausted so I understand them. K hope they get freedom to do whatever they want as soloist.

  • I'm not an Army I should say that, but I'm excited for them. I'm definitely anticipating the vocal line's solo work.

And my prediction is that Jungkook will have the same gp name recognition as BTS by the time they come back as a group.

  • LMAO. Looks like some of them finally got greedy for solo success. Was bound to happen I guess.

Lol. Before they became a group, all of them have their own goals / dreams. Now, its time for them to pursue it.

You all are so dumb. They just said this is a decision they should have made a long while back but they still stayed together for the fans till now

That’s the last thing someone who is greedy for solo success will be doing

  • To be honest, I've been feeling the things Joon said about them loosing direction for a while but i didn't want to bring it up. And I'm sure everyone had the same feeling upon the anthology album announcement but just didn't want to admit it. Some said it's a hint of enlistment and solo works and it turns out to be true after all.

So it's safe to say I'm not surprised and I think this is the best possible outcome for BTS as a group and individuals. I'm just sad that we won't be seeing them performing as a group in a while because they are such a great group but thankfully, they decided to continue Run BTS so I'm fine now. I'm looking forward to their solo works and wish for their peace of mind and true happiness after all the unimaginable things that happened to and for them during these 2 crazy years. I'll forever be waiting for them to return. Army for life.

Girl bye they stayed together for the money, anyways anticipate SKZ takeover.

  • All the "1D went on hiatus..." posts on main are off-base. K-Pop is different. Many K-Pop groups do reunite. Super Junior are having a comeback soon. BTS are still under one label. If one of them left it would be cause for concern, but even then companies will cooperate with each other if it means they'll make money out of it. I really wouldn't worry.

  • I mean they must be really tired! They working non stop! Yes they didn't have a comeback for 2 years but they were still busy filming content/cfs and so many other things that we probably don't know! They want to live their lives! Build their solo careers and that's absolutely normal!let's be honest, things will be different from now on!

    NOTHING LASTS FOREVER GUYS

  • Optimistic. It'll be interesting to see what they come up with individually and it's not like there's never going to be another BTS comeback. For now it's a hiatus, not disbandment.

I'm kind of worried about solo stans though. We're soon going to find out how many army are genuinely OT7 and who was just pretending. It could get very ugly very quickly, and that's one thing I'm not looking forward to at all.

  • Stays not being pathetic challenged failed. I know yall got inferiority complexes but damn can yall wait a day.

  • I'm looking forward to their solo work. This comes at a perfect time as I'm also at a crossroads in my life and I'm about to start a new journey too. It's inevitable in life. I've been preparing myself for this since I found out military enlistment was a thing. I already cried about bts not being here for long a long time ago and that crushing sadness has passed. I can fully support them with no darkness in my heart.

  • I think it's hilarious. The amount of Army crying on my TL is making my day.

    Good riddance to bad rubbish.

  • why make this in anons this is like the best place for haters to comment. armys really don't have to deal with their shit right now

  • Pretty sure they are not stays. Just trolls trying to bait armys. If they are stays then they’re very brave.

I wouldn't call posting in anons brave lol, I mean even if they aren't I know so many people salivating at this news right now we've seen it before so I wouldn't put it past anyone.

  • LMAO. Looks like some of them finally got greedy for solo success. Was bound to happen I guess.

Can u stfu? Maknae line despite having the biggest fandom among all those kpop idols couldn't release anything individually.

  • Couldn't be happier. So done with this group and their fans

  • Sad. But will they give us one more album before Jin enlists?

  • Can u stfu? Maknae line despite having the biggest fandom among all those kpop idols couldn't release anything individually.

Exactly my point. The most popular members who literally carry the groups popularity and they weren't allowed to do anything solo. At least now they get a chance to shine while the rest go to military service.

No idea why none of them hadn't got a solo yet anyway. Hybe too scared that their solo popularity would overshadow the less popular members I guess. Looks like it happened anyway. One Direction vibes tbh.

  • Stop setting them up, I doubt you even stan.

yep ofc they aren't a stay, just someone wants a repeat of that one recent thread. So pathetic. But unfortunately I have no doubt certain people will conveniently forget how to recognise a troll just because it's about skz :S there are a lot of skz antis on akp

I'm a stay and trust me the least we want is to fight fandoms for no reason. We're in the guild most of the time lol

Look at BP, Lisa' carries the group and now that her album has been released her fans are saying they'll boycott the group album. Do u think Hybe wanted it to happen to BTS?

Anyone would be dumb enough to not realize that maknae line wanted to have solo for a really long time, jungkook and V in particular. They deserve it infact I think jungkook should've been the first one to release a solo followed by V and Jimin. They should've gotten solo activities long time ago and I'm not even a solo but any sane army will admit it, they deserve the most for sacrificing their prime age for bts group activities.

  • Honestly they going about how their most beautiful moment is yet to come is just like when bighit said that the next performance after MMA idol 2018 would be even better (hint: it was not). I support them wholeheartedly but I've come to terms that their moment as a group (not as chart-wise or performance) has already peaked for the time now, maybe they'll comeback in the future but only time will tell if it'll be something for nostalgia/fans or because they feel ready to go through a new chapter as a group. I really hope it's the last but there's absolutely no way to know and I'll not hold them over this, just be thankful for their path and being able to experience all this with them and fans!

  • very sentimental. i’m not a hardcore army but i’ve always looked forward to their releases because i love a lot of their music. honestly, it truly feels like a new chapter now, which is scary but i also feel optimistic. their solo work will keep bts alive in themselves as well as fans, so i’m sure a successful comeback will follow their branching out.

but damn. 3rd gen has never felt so over as it does now. out of all top groups, i’m really counting on blackpink for a comeback, which is pretty ironic ;(

  • It's like their song. Life goes on.

2nd gen fans were reminiscing about their idols, and soon 3rd gen fans will be the same. There's no different. This is KPOP. When people made fun of 2nd fans for staying in the past, soon it's time for 3rd gen. No group survive the passage of time AND THATS OK. Artist needs to grow, and you should as well.

  • I am more interested on how the K-pop international market will be impacted.

In S.Korea they never were as dominantly representative of K-pop as they were internationally, where BTS = K-pop. So now will the consumption of Korean acts go up or down?

As to the group itself, I think it was sensible.

#1. More the military exemption issue drags on, worse it is for both BTS, K-pop and S.Korea. Now irrespective some or all can enlist, make their own decisions. HYBE-business wise is ready.

#2. It is not only the members, but there is also fan fatigue, that feeds fatigue to the members as well. The segment of older fans not happy with their English attempts in increasing, whereas the newer fans the percentage of cult bandwagoners is also increasing. A hiatus will cull these and only the stable fanbase will be left.

#3. BTS has been one of the prolific content creators, about 200 songs in 9 years, is a high rate compared to other acts - korean/international average. While BP which the next act in terms of global fame, still managed with very thin discography. But this rate of production, is another factor for fatigue. HYBE-BTS can still make money by reissue-ing their older albums.

#4. It is only natural that in any team, team members develop different interests and intentions after sometime. So keeping them tied to the team, does cramp their own individual trajectories. So this gives them some space to explore. After all, they don't need to be worried about money or fame anymore.

And maybe finally they can date and have relationships, without few million eyes scrutinizing their every move.

#5. While it is not an exit, to take this hiatus is like gracefully exiting at the peak (though PROOF seems to be underperforming by their own standards) and keep their options open.

#6. It will be good for K-pop, monopolies are never good for any field.

BTS' oversized achievements is both an inspiration and an dampner for the next wave of K-pop. So artistically it is good that they have made some space voluntarily. (They were not a monopoly, but I meant in the sense, they were so dominant. But there were always others on the charts who held their own against BTS, there are still some records held by Bigbang and IU, which BTS has not topped)

So good luck to them and hope they will be back together sometime in the future.

Another interesting thing to watch out for, is the solo careers.

Generally nobody has done as well as solos, as they did as groups. Taeyeon is the closest and then G-Dragon. But neither are as successful as SNSD and Bigbang at their peaks.

I am sure the BTS members will be very successful as soloists, but will break BTS' own records?

Taeyeon could not outchart IU, but at this point there is no dominant male soloist in K-pop, there are no Rains, Psy(never mind the recent comeback) who dominate the charts. Kang Daniel is the closest. And outside Kpop, LYW is dominant.

Will the BTS solos beat LYW?

What is they are each others competition - will that fracture the fandom?

    Interesting times ahead.

  • They need it. They’re clearly exhausted and they need to take care of themselves mentally and physically. They will be okay and I’m sure their fans will be waiting for them.

  • Couldn’t be happier ngl. They already past their time and it should have been sooner than this. Happy for jin now that he can finally be free from the group.

  • armys karma for th 30k quote tweet yall did to us during Thunderous era screw you guys.

Blinks never getting a cb , twice declined and ateez is irrelevant in the end Stays and Skz won.
