I think so too and I wonder how big will they become. This is not like 2nd or 3rd gen when groups from smaller company had the chance to dominate. Now there are so many groups debuting it’s getting very saturated. Unless a miracle happens or a group from a smaller company manage to somehow get a few hits I don’t see a group from a smaller company dominating.

I think it really takes a lot now.
There’s so many bg’s already out there and already known.
There are a few good ones but you never hear about them or they do silly reality type vlogs that noone watches because they don’t know them.
They sell 15k of an album and keep posting those weird photos on sns with plenty of makeup and those silly “cute” gestures.
It seems every company is so afraid to try something new and they just fail at copying the popular bg’s.
But they still have a market. It’s just not big.

New fans will always prefer big company groups because they know success is guaranteed and big companies give more content. Its really hard for small comapny groups to stand out unless they have a popular producer as their ceo.

Yeah small companies keep on following the foot steps of big comapny groups. They need to take risks and give us something unique.

And they never do.
I understand from the pov that it is risky but in reality all content is good content - and you just have to open up to doing it.
And it doesn’t mean content that cost a heck of a buck but could just be organic self produced and just an edit by a pro.
But they are so afraid I don’t get it.

A reminder that BTS was not bang PD first group
Funny how “this special privilege” couldn’t even guarantee BTS a debut spot -

They won’t it’s too risky. Even a company like P-Nation went with the typical bg song.
I had high expectations regarding their debut, I was disspaointed.

Okay, you're either incredibly ignorant or incredibly oblivious. Bang Si-hyuk has been making stuff since the 90s, working in tandem with JYP for basically his whole career before Bangtan. He was (and still is) an incredibly prolific composer, writing songs for artists like g.o.d, Rain, Baby V.O.X, and Wonder Girls – he even wrote a song on BoA's debut album. Even now, he's worked on many of the biggest hits from HYBE artists. So, basically – you've never read a song's composers list in your life.

I love WGs, I might have heard here and there that he wrote a song for them but I guess that song wasn't memorable enough for me to remember. WG's biggest hits are written by jyp. And can u name the "hits" written for Hybe artists? Do u know he recently wrote a song for a bg and a solo artist I wonder why didn't that song blew up like his other "hits". He's lucky to have his songs performed by bts. His other songs made no noise.

And can u name the "hits" written for Hybe artists?
Yes, I can, actually. Let me list them:
- Basically every TXT title track
- Apple & Mago by GFRIEND
- Boy with Luv, Blood Sweat and Tears, DNA, Spring Day, etc… by BTS
- Fearless by LE SSERAFIM
- A lot of ENHYPEN songs – all of their title tracks as well as B-sides like Fever & Polaroid Love
To give you a point, though, Bang Si-hyuk is just one out of a bunch of composers and lyricists for all these songs. But even before BTS, he’s penned a fair few hits. Like:
- Bad Man & I Do by Rain
- Friday Night & Sky Blue Balloon by g.o.d (as well as a lot of other B-sides by them)
- Candy in My Ear by Baek Z Young
- No More Perfume on You by Teen Top
- A bunch of 2AM songs (I Was Wrong, Never Let You Go, Like Crazy)
- And there are lots of "hitman" bang produced acts you probably don’t know, but are real popular in Korea (The majority Homme & 8eight’s discography, Kan Mi Youn’s Paparazzi was composed by Bang…)
While he may be more low-profile now, back in the day he was a viable marketing tactic (see Homme's early career for just that). So, basically – stop talking out of your butt.

Isn't that obvious? Almost all group that make it big are from the Big 4. Or a survival show.
If it's not the Big 4 it might be Boys Planet 999 but anything else is highly unlikely
