[BTS CONTENT] If PDOGG earned $34M in the first half of 2021, there is no way each member of BTS have less than $150M+ to their name

He strictly gets paid on music alone. BTS not only get paid their royalties but they also have merch, touring and cfs/ads they also get money from. So BTS as a brand should hypothetically speaking be worth more than $1B based on all factors above with varying degrees of member's input in music.

What do you think AKP ARMY?

  • hmmm not really? In the US anyways… producers and songwriters tend to be the ones who are paid royalties while the singers are paid a one time fee to perform the song. Like a contract basically such as a company giving you $10 million upfront to do 3 albums. This why so many singers from the 90’s like Toni Braxton and TLC end up bankrupt despite having sold millions of records.

  • For merch, album sales, tours etc, you have to put into condideration thst bts gets paid after the company takes away production cost and their 30 or 40 percent depending on what is on bts contract then the rest gets split into 7 parts. While in the terms of royalties, pdogg takes all ir most of it since he contributesthe most. He works on almost all bts' songs and other hybe artirsts and bts songs chart well. As for bts earnings from royalties, The thing is that bts don't earn much from royalties per say since they mostly are listed in credits along side pdogg who obviously takes a much higher percentage ( I say this because other producers and bts members are almost always credited along side him and yet he always makes the news for his earnings from royalties while they don't, it just means he takes most of the royalty cut) , if not he wouldn't be making that much when over 4 people are credited alongside him.

  • He did not get paid that much money from royalties or music. He got it mostly from stocks options before HYBE's IPO. We don't know how much he actually earned as an artist.

  • I think bts would be worth around 70-80 million usd

Around 10 million for each member

You are heavily underestimating. That's their income from Japan only. They made $165m in Japan in 2022. Even if they get 50% (which is assuming the worst) they got $82.5m from Japan alone in only 2022. That's more than $10m per member from 1 country.

I think Jasmine_Waters your estimations are closer to reality than not. I also think their net worth is around $150m if not more.

  • For BTS networth...salary as an artists under the exclusive contract in HYBE, this is my computation. I made this a while ago, and I based it on HYBE's financial report/statements (assuming that HYBE gets somewhere 15%-18% of sales in between) and public estimations. Take it with a grain of salt.

Note: The % input is what BTS gets in sales 'theoretically'. Ofcourse, the % increased after their renewal in 2018.

Another note: I'll edit this later after work.

I dont think they get 50% of that

there is umg to consider too along with hybe

But the user above proved that i'm underestimating

I don't think BTS are dumb enough to take less than 50% of anything that they directly make. Especially after contract renewal in 2018.

I actually think 50% is the worst possible outcome for them. They should be getting around 60-65% of their direct income is not more. This is not indirect income. This is direct income.
