The resident vocal expert of the old allkpop forum REFUSED to analyse Super Junior's vocals because according to him they weren't worthy. He LITERALLY made a rule in the op of the official vocal analysis thread of the forum that forbids people from asking about Super Junior's vocals or posting their videos. Fast-forward a couple of years later, new vocal experts joined the kpop community and all agreed that Kyuhyun was the best idol vocalist and KRY the best vocal line, only then did he decide to check them out and agree on that opinion.

But has SM really failed in China like some people are suggesting???
Like Lay is incredibly huge in China, probably one of the biggest stars in China. He sells like 5 million albums and breaks all the records every comeback.
Luhan, Tao and Kris all still have a contract with SM until 2022 and they bring SM lots of money.
Victoria is a huge star in China and also still under contract.
People like Sehun, Chanyeol and NCT members are really big, selling planes and stuff and getting 500k album sales from Chinese fans alone.
If there is a market that SM dominate right now, it is definitely China imo
