This is just facts. Gaon/Circle update weekly as for monthly chart is just an accumulation from weekly data.

Also don't start with "YG just doesn't want to acknowledge Lisa as million seller", "YG tricked Lisa", "Unfair profit & sales distribution". Album sales involves income & royalties for the artist, company, producer, songwriter, engineer, instrument player, etc. so if YG really hiding or manipulates Lisa sales fans doesn't need to worry because there will be many people coming for YG regarding their income and it will be in the court.

Just because a twitter chart account that they ask Gaon what are the reason that an album is not charting other than genuinely not making the chart & they answered with a company must report it to them first to enter the chart DOES NOT MEAN YG didn't report Lisa Sales.

What makes you think that YG report Lisa sales on week 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 14, 16, 17, 28 & 29 but not the others? YG can't afford messing with sales & royalties because it is involving income for many people not just the artist. Also South Korea is pretty tight with royalties & profit sharing laws, haven't you heard all those scandal before? Even a CEO got a sentence.

Stop with this conspiracy theory, sometime the truth is simple. If an album is not charting in the top 100 then it means it didn't sold enough in that time frame to rank in top 100. end of story.

Garam case is even more messed up. Hybe abandon her just like that. If Hybe handle it better she would be rained by praise from netizen. In SK every school violence incident have a report by school violence committee, only assailant & victim have it. The accuser release her copy of the report as proof for Garam bullying case. She cropped most of it & didn't hide Garam name. recently Garam release her copy of the report as a whole & it show the whole incident. Accuser posted photos of Garam's friend in underwear then Garam curse at her then they fight.

At the time i think Hybe handle it the best they can but knowing they had this evidence that can clear it all at once but they choose the most capitalistic way. Cut ties with Garam. She had a scandal, true or false didn't matter, they just didn't want to deal with it.

I will go to SM.

If you hope to be an idol but with sketchy past you have no hope going to YG. CMIIW, YG artists don't have pre-debut scandal... but if you can deal being a sacrifice controversy to cover the heat of politic bomb shell please do come to YG.

My first Kpop video is SNSD - Gee in early 2010 when my friend watch it during our school trip.

The first group that i stan is BP in 2016, before that (2012-2016) i am only a kpop casual listener who are mainly aware of idol from drama or variety shows.

For building global fandom it doesn't really matter for the idol or the company but the more popular idol fans are more likely to drag the hell out of it.

But for domestic brand building purpose it is a bad idea if the name they choose are names that Korean gp (not kpop fans) already associated with someone (idol or non-idol). Some people are recognized by Korean gp as their full name (Yoo Jae-suk, Kim Jong-kook, Song Hye-kyo, Jun Ji-hyun, Song Jung-ki, etc.) they can choose those name as long as they have different last name. But for names that are more recognized as 2 char like Hyun-bin, Won-bin, Jennie, Taeyeon, Suzy, etc. than it's better to avoid that name.

BTS & Hybe are not dumb enough for not doing the military enlistment. No matter how much ARMY thinks that korean gp will not be as mad towards BTS it will still kill their career. Not a single person that are healthy & not contributing to the country outside their personal benefit (athlete winning medal for national team in olympics & asian games are contributing their talent outside their normal job) will survive backlash from military exemption.

No need to bring BTS impact to korean economy. It was all theory & calculation. Also there are various other example (actor, singer, director, etc.) that bring similar economic & cultural impact for korea since 1980s that are not getting military exemption (exemption for athlete already made since 1980s).

It is just politician doing politics. in the end BTS won't get the exemption.
