BP just need 10 million more Physical Sales as TWICE will hit 15m Sales in South Korea and Japan with their Comeback.
With Twice recent comeback BP only need 2 more comebacks to surpass their Korean sales & 4 more comebacks for the overall sales. Looking at this comeback performance if Twice fail to sell out their NA Tour (more likely than not) I doubt that they will be making a frequent comeback & if they do comeback after the tour I am willing to bet that their sales will drop.

From the gp perspective Twice already have 'less comeback'. They barely know that Twice release anything anymore.

I don't know about others but Blackpink is not having a hard time about filling arena in Korea & at the time of their concert all bigger venues are either booked by other events or under maintenance (Dome & Stadium).

bcs in the image they only count until week 50

They think BTS are on IU & Bigbang level in term of music acceptance in SK.
They also think International stream will also come with any kind of song because of fan daily stream.
They just want to release a compilation album (expensive) & need a new song to make it like a comeback then bait the fans to buy it. If Proof only have old songs the sales would've been dropped.
-
That is the biggest venue available (venue that usually held concert)

It's BTS own choice, but let's be real here, if they got any kind of exemption the backlash will be huge. You don't know how Korean men loathe the military service, they think it wasted 2 years of their life.
Also BTS being in military won't affect Korean economy in meaningful way. They are not Samsung, LG, Hyundai or KIA. In 2021, Hallyu sector (k-pop, k-drama, games, etc) only account for 0.9% of SK GDP. Even if we account the ripple effect to tourism the effect is not significant as SK already one of most visited country even before BTS.
FYI: Did you know that $5 Billion that BTS supposedly contribute to SK economy is calculated with assumption that BTS will hold 10 concert in SK each year with 2 comeback with success on Dynamite or Butter level. Or in other words never happened (BTS never hold 10 concert in SK during a year).

People sometimes forget having super big fandom doesn't mean popularity with general public. Kpop fans need to know the difference between mediaplay, reporter need for click & fake news. The media attention BP got is because reporter needs for click, it is factual & the subject can easily garner most people attention. Of course Korean general public know & aware of BTS but they didn't command the same attention from them like Bigbang or top GG like Blackpink, Twice, SNSD.
Like one person above said, a reporter can get main page article when they wrote about jennie ig post. I admit it is hard for international fans to gauge BTS popularity in SK because their fandom is so big you can confuse them with general public attention.
-
Their biggest song got its popularity thanks to the choreography & adding to that SM bought the song so they didn't have the producers that create a signature song with aespa in mind.
-
Kpop fans that are active in social media are generally nuts but if we really honest with each other none of them beat army for the most toxic & insufferable of all. If we have to choose 1 fandom that give kpop bad rep the answer will always be army (even before they become the largest fandom).
note: there are times that i was really getting into BTS (around 2015-2016) but I didn't end up following them because of army. Now i just listen to a select few of their song.

It's simple because their fans is not army

Yeah, hell no, this is bullshit.
In every piece of art there's and intention and a message, ofc people can interpret it on their own ways but the only truth is what the artist tried to deliver. Then you can agree if the message is well delivered or not, but you can't argue about the true meaning about a piece of art if we have already told what it means. That's erasing the author from it's own creation.
Take for example Lolita, because it seems like people here likes to associate it with NJ, the book is about a pedophile and how he abuses a teenager, the message is clear if you've read the book, it's an abuse from the main character towards Lolita. But some people has interpreted the book as a romantic and tragic story, and is still interpreted that way, or even by people who doesn't even know the full story thinks so.
Even the author has explained the story, what's about, why the main character is a monster, etc. But people still thinks is a love story between an adult and a teenager.
So you are trying to tell that even when the intention is explained by the author, it doesn't even matter and the real message is the one people make from it, we have to accept the "truth" made by ignorant people just because they are stupid even if they are wrong because the author has stated what the true meaning is?
That doesn't make any sense, and just sounds like an excuse because you want to be right and have that "truth", because you can't be wrong, and know better than the author what's the real meaning.
I like the statement made by Ador, why someone should apology to people who doesn't and won't consume their content, and is trying to put a bad light on them. I'm bored of companies and artists that wants to please everyone, even to the point of change their own art like BTS. Have some guts and defend your vision and creation.
Agree with all your statement but stop playing dumb. Ador is gaslighting here.
Did you know that what Korean thinks of this song before the controversies reach them?
It's a good song with unique & incoherent lyrics just like many other kpop song (Red Flavor, Gee, Roly-Poly, etc.). They think the lyrics were incoherent but there is nothing sexual from their perspective. Then you realize one of the writer is Swedish that often write lyrics for kpop industry in English.
Even if we assume that this is not their intention it is still their fault that songs with lyrics that can get this kind of interpretation so easily by almost all English as first language person is sung by group of minors.
-
The lyrics is provocative & sexual. That is just a fact especially if your industry is becoming more global. The lyrics in itself is not a problem but when a group of minor sings it then it become a problem. One of the writer is Swedish so don't give 'Korean intention vibe' excuse. It was either intentional or internal failure.
Since Attention & Hype Boy are doing well & NJ global presence is still low so the controversy didn't get any bigger & already died down, Ador can just stay silent but they choose to release this garbage PR move. Either say nothing or admit mistake & plead to improve.

If the Korean government covid guideline allowed it the so be it. Music show is not free promo, idols & TV station have give & take.
