How can one get an LV brand ambassadorship before even debuting? Hybe’s money runs deep in the pockets
I woulndn't be surprised that to get an ambassadorship, you just need the connections. I don't think they add much value to the brand (money wise via sales); however, the brand does profit if they get connections/paid (by the company they're endorsing) while the management profits via PR.
Still love seeing idols in them because we get pics though and I like looking at pretty pics

I'm not sure if her words were lost in translation. But if that translation is accurate--that is somewhat off putting .
"I'm waiting for the NewJeans (NJZ) members. They may not even be aware of my existence, but every day, I edit videos of them, seeing their faces and hearing their voices more than they do themselves,"
To add in workplace politics. If there's a lot of internal changes (which replacing a CEO is a big change), that would be enough to break some worker's trust and cause termoil/uncertainty.
Perhaps Korea is different. But if this were the U.S or EU, and major internal changes occurred where a CEO you're directly working with got fired/replaced, followed by internal turmoils that went public (doesn't matter whose fault imo), and suddenly there's a influx of bad PR and the current management isn't doing shit--that's breach of trust right there, no? Often times, a shift of management alone is enough to cause stress, anxiety and doubts. It lowers workplace satisfaction and trust.
it's an alternative masterpiece, people mistake it as a pop song, but it isn't one, it's indie, alternative and just pure music. id call it maybe dreamcore or smth.
also it's the most beautiful njz mv by far! and probably at all. it's GORGEOUS .
actually it's kinda a mix of dreamcore and dark/horror concept, it's literally perfection .
ASAP's MV is what I would consider art. While the song is good, there's a lot of artistic choices in the MV such as utilizing collages. There is a strong creative vision about it which I often find other MVs lack (some MVs prefer to have coolshots which is fine, just not my pref).
Like, this style is something I can see in an art gallery
The music is a beast of it's own! They use it more as a story teller. And it's one of the few songs that I have to watch the MV.
I can see passion and a vision which I freaking love.
that sounds like asap a bit, eventhough asap is more on the brighter side but there are elements of horror core too .
Yeah, its similar to ASAP. I want to see a group lean into the horror, obsession and eeriness. I know Japan has a market for it considering the yandere trope is popular there. That vibe is under explored in kpop which is sad.

this are my favorite concepts of all time, i swear it's sooooooooo beautiful and gorgeous but also fun! generally i just love dreamcore, romantic, girlhood, coming of age, melancholic, nostalgic, bohemian, fairy but also quirky, dark and mysterious concepts, here are some examples:

indeed i would add closer to dreamcore, and something like because fromdreamcatcher for dark concept. when it comes to fresh concept, i think all the concept should be done with freshness!
but the best of them all is probably a mix of asap and ditto! but specially asap
also, i'd love njz to explore the sorta futuristic y2k watery dreamy concept. something bolder and a bit more fierce. like a sorta mix of attention/hybe boy and supernova/whiplash.

I loved ASAP so much. It's my favorite MV and song combination.
RV is a bit more light creepy, if that makes sense? They have the darker undertones, it's not predominantly eerie for me.
CHERISH by Illit (listened to only lyrics and read it), I genuinely thought there was a darker MV to pair with it. Like, obsessive-lover/stalker vibe for this MV would've made me a full Illit stan instead of Iroha solo stan.
I guess, I'm thinking of horror creepy but with a soft singing
I wish there was a concept that's eerily creepy but still gorgeous or dreamcore but with a darker palate (still so sad that Illit did not go for this).
Indeed she may overdo the dancing a bit and I do think it shows in some clips, but having seem them live this past week I can vouch that these things really are your last thought when watching them perform. Ahyeon and Ruka especially were excellent at keeping the crowd hyped up and all of the members energy is infectious. I've even seen quite a few comments on both reddit and twitter of people saying they enjoyed BM's concert in Newark far more than Aespa , who performed at the same venue 2 weeks prior. Internet clips do not do them justice.
Also their solo performances were among the best parts of the concert, they all absolutely slayed and mics were ON.
I saw their solos, and I wish I could attend. They looked so fun and hype. The vocals, performance, visuals--everything was serving.
I mainly notice the dancing on pre-recorded/smaller stages. On concerts, she does soooo good. Her energy matches the vibe. Thus, the dancing, for me at least, is a minor/nitpick criticism if I had to find a problem. Beyond that, for a 5th gen group, BM is so good.
Would Korea be okay with this? The last time I checked, they're still very conservative and often shy away from themes like those. I can possibly see Karina. But Wonyoung's image has been built to be a princess. Though, I can see a possible pivot ( and I would die for it).
Personally, I hope they don't pivot to this. My bank account cannot handle it.
I occasionally watch Ahyeon's stage performances (music shows, etc). She seems to struggle with balancing her energy out, very good dancer and performer otherwise.
I do watch clips of live concerts, and her energy is so perfect for hyping up the crowd. If she were to go solo in a few years, I would be an immediate stan. Hell, I would stan a lot of BM's solo if they ever go that route. Very talented/skilled group and individuals.
They seem to be the most talented but just need that one song.
The song below is where they surprised me. I was basing alot of my opinion of them and certain title tracks but a b-side won me over. Plus, they seem to be very good vocalist and most likely will have YG backing them. I hope they find the one song because I think they have what it takes

I actually fell in love with this one. Its soo good, I didn't even know this existed. The vocal control...
New song for my late night drives. Ty for introducing me to this masterpiece.
Too early to say there's a big 3, and the kpop landscape always changes. Many thought Itzy was going to be in discussion for big 3 of the gen and now they're outside of the top5. Also, the same can be said about Le Sserafim because they were supposed to be in the big 3 discussion but lost a lot of traction in Korea. I know they have great global numbers but I think you need to have strong domestic numbers to be considered big 3.
The conversation is too early to be had imo because I am unsure if any of these groups will maintain their spots in the top 3. Kpop is competitive and there's always a new group that emerges to take the crown.
For discussion purpose, I will say Babymonster has the best chance in maintaining their spot as a top 3 group. Unsure if Illit can recover but they might be a victim of the song is bigger than the artist, and that seems to be the case with some of these groups.
BM has the skill to execute songs. They really just need that one song.
Watch as a nugu group comes in to dominate out of nowhere.
To add, I don't believe sales and possibly charts are a valid way to measure who the top group is. There are too many confounding variables. Furthermore, it's extremely bias (and results will most likely lean to big companies).
If we strip everyone down and adjust so that they're all on the starting line (no big company privilege, same amount of marketing, etc)--then KIOF would be on top imo. No way to tell for sure though.
Thus, a better ranking would be: who has the better company/management/company influence.

Sound like one of those retro videogames (platformer).
I'll only support HYBE if they're a company that hasn't done anything despicable, and if they care for their artists.
And with how they treat LSFM, ILLIT, NJ--yeahhhh. No. While bad publicity is still publicity--it exposes the girlies to a lot of hate. As a company, it's their job to protect the girlies and not use them as meatshields. They've failed to do so.
G-IDLE, NJZ and IVE brought my interest for Kpop back. Eleven randomly played and reminded me that kpop was a thing. Then Attention MV randomly got recommended, and I loved it. It was clean, not too visually and auditorily messy. Then loved G-IDLE's boldness.
