I wanted to check up on what it's about, but 350 posts is way too much to read up on, for something that gives off the impression of being a hate/troll bait thread by someone with a serious grudge against a group or fans of that group.

Same like I said with IVE, things can't always be a neverending homerun streak forever and ever, let's see how it goes in other upcoming comebacks to see if it's a temporary thing or structural.

And like with Aespa and (G)I-dle when they came back with Tomboy, circumstances can change rapidly.

Although girl groups will always suffer more from unsteady popularity base, more so than boy groups.

I really believe it's this simple yet this thread will continue on with meaningless debates meant to provoke 1 user who manages to live rent free in this forums head.

Kpop fans are oddly so much like NBA fans, one bad game and they wanna blow the whole team up.

But IVE were at the peak of their powers, and then they suddenly weren't. And we can't blame any of it on internal strife and power struggles within the company.

I really liked their most recent comeback, and the songs are all bops, so one would think their charting would recover from what happened in the Baddie era, but they've regressed even more.

I would not typically entertain Twice slander but i'll allow it in the context of More and More...what a disappointment.

Please do not hit me with a thesis level comeback for this, but I think we are seeing something similar with NJ right now so I am using them for example. They released a couple of good songs that fans will certainly enjoy but do not have GP appeal. I will not call this comeback a flop, or argue that they arent still #1, but its fair to say it has underperformed quite a bit.

I think groups like BP (coming from a blink) have deluded us into thinking top groups can release mid music and still perform well lol.

I just cant understand how the dropoff after I Am comeback was so huge. It seemed like IVE was dominating and then that triple TT release killed them. None of the songs are great or even near I Am/Kitsch but still good songs that I enjoy.

I thought the recent comeback was really great and expected them to perform better than it has. To me, kpop is not so nuanced, if they release another big hit they will do well, these few tracks just werent it (even if I really enjoyed them).

Twice are my favorite group after bp, although IVE might steal that spot.

Itzy I like a few of their title tracks but dont follow them much other than simping over yeji and yuna.

For Nmixx, surprisingly the only song i like of theirs is O.O. The covers that their members do are good, espcially Lily.

ive actually really come to like O.O but i pretty much just assume its because their music is kinda crap. I dont like any of their songs besides O.O and most people dont even like that. At least we have Lily covers

Probably not the best choice of words considering one of the songs is literally named Bubblegum... And perhaps mid wasn't the best choice either. I don't think any of the recent releases are bad, just nothing exciting about any of them. Nothing about them that would make me go out of my way to listen, but I would not skip if they just came on. And it has nothing to do with it not being "bubblegum pop", Ive been listening to Shine With Me by IVE on repeat for a month and thats a ballad. But clearly newjeans is just not my taste, as I feel this way about most of their songs with some exceptions.

is it really any worse than buying 4 versions of the same album?

what's amazing is the loyalty of their fans. 4 mid songs in a row would be enough to make me question being a fan, but to each their own I guess.
