We have people making Diddy and R. Kelly jokes as if sexual abuse is something to laugh about.
We have people glorifying mugshots – Trump supporters wearing Trump's mugshot on T-shirts.
We have prison rape jokes in movies and shows.
Kids are being conditioned to think being a murderer is cool and badass.
1. I don't think anyone thinks SA is something to laugh about, I think they are joking because of Diddy and R. Kelly.
2. The trump thing is beyond my comprehension. so yeah........
3. Prison rape jokes are not glorifing murder or anything. It should be caution against crime so I don't understand why you put this here.
4.This point I kinda agree and disagree w you. I think a lot of movies do glorify justified revenge. I think it gives veiwers some sort of a sense of actual justice that they are not recieving in the real world. - but remember someones villian can be someone elses hero. Luke Skywalker was a religious fanatic that lead an insurgent terrorist attack that killed hundreds of thousands by a certain point of view.

while its not good- it has shed light on the greater evil that is the greed of corporations causing the unneccessary deaths of ppl it takes money from. If a lesser evil has to be encouraged to destroy a greater evil, I'm all for glorifing it. Sometimes you gotta take chemo to destroy the cancer.

In theory it should.
But are you telling me we should leave it up to individuals to decide rather someone deserves to die or not? What makes you better than those you criticize? If you think it’s justified to kill people because (to you) they did something wrong, you aren’t better than them. 🤷🏽♀️
No, I don't think we should leave it up to indiviuals......but in the end it is individuals that get together as a group and decides who deserves to die or not. I 'm just stating that sometimes the law is wrong . Sometimes some ppl are justified in their actions and just because some group decides it is right doesn't make it right either. I never claimed to be better than anyone, just more honest in my reasoning .

I’m sorry… but your comparison between war and self-justice is flawed because war operates within legal and collective frameworks, whereas self-justice is based on personal, subjective decisions. Soldiers act on behalf of a state under established rules and accountability, while a vigilante disregards due process and imposes their own judgment. This often leads to chaos and harm to innocent people.
In war, actions are governed by international law, military codes, and rules of engagement. Soldiers who violate these frameworks (such as by committing war crimes) are subject to prosecution and punishment. This accountability exists to maintain a degree of justice, even within the tragic realities of war. In contrast, self-justice operates without oversight, bypassing these safeguards entirely.
Allowing individuals to decide who ‘deserves’ to live or die undermines societal order and sets a dangerous precedent where anyone can justify violence for personal reasons. While war is imperfect and often tragic, it operates within systems designed to balance justice and order, whereas self-justice destabilizes society and disregards legal protections for everyone.
war operates within a legal and collective framework? lol. tell that to the Ukraians. when did they legally agree to be invaded? what land of unicorns and rainbows do you live in?
Isreal has commited war crimes - will they ever be prosecuted and punished? So has Russia, So has the United States. Might makes right.
911 was a terrorist attack and the US "legally" went and got involved in a 20+ yr war that killed 100,000 of ppl ( many of whom were considered " collateral" that were not involved at all . What part of that had balanced justice and order ? Might makes right?
get off your high horse and feel the grass. your idealistic view of the world does not jell with the real world.

To be honest, I'm not fond of glorifying what this guy did because it creates a dangerous slippery slope where people start thinking it's okay for them to go out and target people.
What's stopping some lunatic from getting inspired by him after seeing all the positive attention he's receiving and going after another public figure due to some delusional reason?
A lot of people who do these things see themselves as a hero or a martyr, even the ones who hurt innocent people in the process. That's terrorism.
I agree with a lot of what you wrote, but the issue is that it wasn't a delusional reason . And sometimes it takes a martyr to make changes in society. I and many ppl actually hope the positive attention he gets pushes ppl to action, just maybe not to the level of killing. But the positive attention he is getting is also bring the evils of corporate healthcare in to discussion and no matter what that is a huge positive.

not to mention people should realize that talking about it proudly might end in situation that it will backfire and mass media will start blowing things out in a way, so what we know about killer? "He listened to KPOP"
Its already happening with many pointing out he was a player of the game AMONG US.......

I still think it's dangerous to glorify what had happened because there are just way too many deranged people out there who would see this and feel inspired to carry out copycat crimes.
Haven't you seen those far-right folks who are down on their luck and feel hopeless, so they follow crazy conspiracy theories and blame minorities, the left, and others for their problems?
While I agree about the far right nut jobs, I have to say if there are copy cats of this guy.......better people killing off CEOs of evil corporations than ppl shooting up schools.

none of the cases I mentioned involved self defense but go on
self defense is also violence, no? you defend against violence by using equal or greater violence. so- violence is obviously the answer many times.
-
none of the cases I mentioned involved self defense but go on
and I also never mentioned the other cases, but you did mention " violence is never the answer" did you not? defend what you mentioned and counter what I said . don't walk back and try to twist what you said or I said......but go on.
-
people try to rationalize by their own predilections, but violence is never the answer
wot? tell that to the jews that were killed by nazis. Tell that to Koreans who fought the Japanese. tell that to any oppressed group that had to resort to violence to get justice. gtfo.

wait- do some ppl really think that playfully dissing someone that you are comfortable is really the same thing as DISSING someone you hate? I always thought of it as the girls playfully taking jabs at cube cuz they are that comfortable doing so ( plus the fact that they are the top money makers for them.). Come on, like after every diss there is a burst of giggles.
-
Me too. Im happy that they stayed together.
But i lowkey hoped they would quit CUBE and set up new company / join another company and get Soojin back
So basically, Soyeon namedrop soojin for nothing. It was just a PR stunt
And the diss to CUBE, was likely a PR stunt too. Breaking the renewal news on the night getting Record of the Year, evrrything seems so wellplanned...
The thing that everyone forgets is that Soojin is actually signed to a company. She has a contract to fulfill. She might not be able to just go even if it was the case.

Cube will provide " unwavering support" HAHAHAHA. Seriously?
-
2. g -idle
The fact that so many of you have g idle in the running says tons about not betting against Soyeon anymore . With renewed contracts and probably more power at cube, I firmly believe Soyeon intends to show her producer side with a new gg. Maybe she will get the New Jeans girls to sign w her., lol
