I value charisma over looks. There are many pretty idols with zero stage presence. Not interested in them. I prefer an idol who can catch my attention even if they're 60% on kbs.

I started listening to kpop when super junior was big and then I just stopped listening to music completely.

My friend kept trying to get me into BTS but I thought everyone surrounding them was nuts since I had never seen a single positive interaction between the fans online. I also didn't like any songs they kept hyping up so I didn't bother.

I've recently realised their rap line solos are good.

People come to kpop for the spectacle so yes dancing is part of that. Even people who have no clue who the kpop stars are expect dancing. It's how the groups have been marketed and no one is going to be happy with that aspect being taken out.

I framed the question in my head as who I would like to watch live and quite honestly it's Gidle, nmixx and Itzy.

Aespa's problem is that we never know when they're going to be lipsyncing so that's not the risk I'd want to take with my money.

This song truly has been everywhere. Even the real estate agents trying to sell million pound London townhouses on my feed have been using apt for background music.

Aespa. They caught my attention with Spicy. I tried to listen to their older stuff just to see if I actually could enjoy it now and nope. Not my thing at all.

Aren't they doing similar numbers? If we take out the ad views they seem almost equal to me for YouTube at least.

Imagine if they were a boy group. That music would not be acceptable over here if they were. 🙈

All groups have antis and they work harder then any fandom.

They obviously negotiated a very good deal and kept the group alive. Soyeon just proved to us she is as smart as she looks.

I've ended up on some dodgy forums and boys are definitely too embarrassed to follow kpop. Even when talking about female idols it's never about the music but their bodies and faces. Since they don't want to sexualise men they can't follow boy groups.

I feel like the groups are talented but they haven't given me any music I want to listen to other then kiss of life. I really enjoy the direction those girls are going. The rest, no.

I'm talking about kpop groups that are topping Korean charts. Somebody in Korea has to be listening to them if they're picking up PAKs and RAKs.

My favs releasing music all the damn time. There isn't a week when someone isn't churning out some tunes. Good times. I'm glad I chose a group that's passionate about their music.

I used to think music was a factor but after seeing half of Korea singing "my boob and booty hot" I don't think so. Korea will absolutely go for weird music if they like the group.

If at debut they find the group's music trendy and visually impressive they'll gobble up anything.
