Baddie did a pak, but it also did a pak when ULs across music platforms at a historic low.

Heya peaked with 55k ULs more than Baddie. Unfortunate timing led them not to reach number one on charts, or gets wins (due to seventeen and spot basically double-teaming them).

Plan the timing better and I think everything is okay.

Sales for latest albums:

NewJeans: 2.115 million

Ive: 1.681 million

Gidle: 1.677 million

Aespa: 1.300 million

LSF: 1.163 million

As for Illit, I put them that high because Magnetic turned out to be a #1 song on circle weekly, a feat aespa hasnt accomplished yet thus far. Plus, the streaming performance on spotify. But sure I can edit it, I can concede there and switch #7 and #8.

Haven't NJ, Ive, and Idle sold more of their most recent album tho? Aespa used to have edge for a while but Drama resulted in a pretty hefty drop in sales.

This depends on how much you weigh categories. Also time discrepancies will lead to apples to oranges comparisons.

But roughly I'd say:

I rank new GG's conservatively because I feel like more time is needed to actively determine their position. If Illit replicates Magnetic again I'll probably push them up to second, tbh.

When I saw Dem Jointz in the production credits, my excitement was for their title track completely deflated.

But it turns out even broken clocks are right twice a day. It's a bop, somehow.

Fromis_9 is my favourite HYBE girl group

I became a BVNDIT fan after Jungle..... only for them to go hiatus for two years, and then disband after a single comeback. Great songs and some of the best vocal colors in industry, I will miss them.

I truly believe WeMe would a still active mid-tier group had they debuted with Crush or Picky Picky.

MMA artist of the year is most interesting award in my opinion because any of the top 5 could reasonably end up taking it. Taeyeon and IU number one and two at the moment, Jungkook is third but will have the votes on his side, Aespa and Idle are fourth and fifth but with both confirmed to have a comeback in the coming months. And I'm not gonna rule out artists outside of the top five, either, this early in the year.

MMA album of the year, I think IU is the front-runner and most likely to win, but Gidle is a dark horse. It's a tough gap to make up but not impossible, depending on song longevity.

For MMA SOTY, it's really weird to think that Taeyeon might just win the award with a song that peaked at 254k ULs. But good for queen Taeyeon, longevity and release timing seem to be the name of the game this year.

Seventeen has MAMA artist of the year locked up already, imo.

As for MAMA soty, I honestly could see Illit making a good run for it? As the poster above said. Otherwise Perfect Night holds on.

Ive is still bigger, but not by a huge margin.

New Jeans > Ive > Gidle/Le Sserafim > Aespa is the top 5 in my opinion.

That's really cool, two larger than life personalities, should be a fun watch !
