I never really kept up with YG news. But I thought YG was still sorta involved, just like his brother? Or have both of them fully removed themselves entirely from YG Entertainment?

I think the real situation's more like, that SM of all companies has the most hardcore antis, and it's simply that those SM antis are the most vocal and assertive in painting others as 'company stans', as in tagging all fans of SM groups and anyone else who disagrees with them as 'SM stan'.
But when it's about who're actual, real company stans - and not sorta disliking or even hating the company as many SM group fans do - people who really like and lowkey stan, follow and defend their bias' company, then you'll find more of those among other, non-SM fandoms.

What's the source??
If it's here on AKP, I don't see Blinks going mad about it.
If it's on twitter, come on, let's be real, twitter is so toxic and troll infested that people get mad about everything.

Didn't NCT already hit 2M sales?

People really should learn more about economics and the relevant terms.
At the least it's going towards an oligopoly, with more than 2 (but still just a few) companies dominating practically the entire K-pop playing field.
So it's more than just CJ&EM, or BH, but yeah, there's very much consolidating going on.
-
International K-pop fans always keep underestimating CJ &EM

Not that much interested in the film, but I want to see Irene act, I'm curious about it.
So I want to at least see her scenes.
Irene's facial expressiveness - both unconsciously and consciously - is pretty fascinating in its range and nuances and among the more powerful among idols.
So I'm curious to see if it also translates well to movie acting and how capable she is (or not) in controlling and utilising her talent for facial expressiveness for a full role.

ITZY is the most dance focused group of all JYP's groups, so I'm going for ITZY.
Aespa is too fresh and have shown too little to know what they can do.
SM groups in general are pretty good in vocals and dance but we've seen too little of Aespa yet.
Seulgi and Irene were also underrated in the beginning, until they started showing the full extent of their dance talents.
So right now I'd say ITZY is stronger in dance, and Aespa is stronger in vocals.
Stage presence, they're both solid at that one.

One of the songs I like best of BP.
Songs like D4 and KTL were less to my taste - I guess it's not my genre, I like earlier Teddy songs better.
But I liked AIIYL straight away, it's a banger.

NCT are very good with hype songs, they have so many of them
But the most underrated song is this one

I don't think they've peaked.
Most important reason, the continuing growth of K-pop globally, a trend that 3rd gen groups currently profit most of.
You can see it in stuff like Spotify streams, youtube views+likes, album sales.
Those have all been rising for a lot of the currently active groups, including and especially the 3rd gen groups.

They're doing well! Good for them, they're a pretty good, unique group and we could use more like those :)

KMA goes its own way. It always has, it always will.

twice doesnt sell 600k PER album, but ONE album
saying PER album, is like saying it's the NORM or USUAL average.
m&m sold 575k, despite having 9 months hiatus.
unless fans are forbidden or will be killed to buy more than 1 album per year, then that logic is both false and stupid.
There's no denying though that album sales have increased significantly for many groups last year.
Just check the album sales of a number of groups last year, then compare with the years before.
If that trend of last year continues in this year, this steady increase in overall album sales, then it gets likelier that the groups with high album sales will get closer and closer to 1M.

It's very hard to dig up quotes from 6-7 years ago, but from what I recall of the times before the breakup in interviews and such, the Jessica and the girls openly mentioned and talked about it and how because of it Jessica would be less active with SNSD and more busy with her business in the following year, and at that point everyone seemed alright with it, that this would happen.
Not sure what happened afterwards - it'll all remain speculation in any case.
It might be that Jessica got too focused in preparations for her new business and started to neglect SNSD activities to such degree that talking didn't help anymore and that the other girls had had it with her and presented her with an ultimatum.
It might be that the former agreements weren't concrete enough, so misunderstandings arose and conflict and in the end Jessica thought too lightly about the objections and issues SM Entertainment and/or the other girls had with how Jessica was handling things.
It could also be that parents got involved, and in the end decisions were made by SM that Jessica felt surprised and ambushed by.
Fact is, we don't know.
The only thing that's known is that everyone was aware and initially ok with Jessica's decreased presence with SNSD activities and increased involvement with setting up her own brand.
Then something happened, that wasn't resolved in the talks that all parties must have had with eachother, and afterwards Jessica was forced to leave and nobody wants to talk about it anymore and went decidedly their own way.

Practicallly everyone's album sales doubled to tripled last year compared with the years before.
If that trend keeps up, then yes, there's a chance.
At the moment the most likely candidates would be TWICE or IZ*One, but I wouldn't be surprised if a dark horse pops up that will get the 1M sales threshold next (after TWICE and IZ*One, ITZY, RV, Aespa or Baby Monster would seem most likely).

They really do fit an English version so, so well.
A missed opportunity.

She has always looked good, but the past few years she has upgraded to simply looking astonishing and mesmerizing.
Her eyes are hypnotic and easy to get lost in.
