BM has all the momentum and I think they keep releasing better and better songs so maybe YG is figuring something out. KiiiKiii had such a strong start and Starship has somewhat of track record. I liked H2H debut but I have little faith in SM not fucking it up somehow.
ILLIT could also reverse the trend if HYBE pulls out another Magnetic, but it's not looking too great atm.
It's still not quite clear what's going on here. Everyone thought Groundwork was the title track because in the Debut Song MV there's a scene where they perform Groundwork on a music show
It seems like they will promote both tracks but maybe BTG is the title track with a MV. It could also still be a double title.
I'm not gonna judge Groundwork just yet but based on what I've heard so far I very much prefer BTG.

From the teaser schedule title track MV teaser is today so I guess this means BTG is the title track. Either that or it's double title..?

It seemed to work out for all, but who knows what would have happened if they went through with it. Unsure about the timelines but getting the iz*one bump would have changed things for this potential group. Theirs star power in this group and most likely would've changed the status quo if they got the right songs.
I'm also confused about the timeline tbh but I can only imagine it must have been before PD48? Probably even before Idol School. Yunjin mentioned they were trainees together when she first came to Korea. The confusing part is Yunjin was in Pledis for PD48 but maybe it was a joint group between Pledis and Stone Music since Pledis/Stone also managed IZ*ONE together somehow.
It's because Sian, Yunjin, Yuri, Natty, and Lee Haein (she was ranked 1st on Idol School but was rigged out and until recently was the creative director for Kiss of Life) were on the Stone/Pledis debut team. Natty talks about it on her Youtube show episode with Sian. The five seem to still be close friends which is cute.
I'm kinda glad it turned out the way it did because I can't imagine LSFM without Yunjin and Yuri is my favorite 4th gen solo by far. Would be really cool if they did a collab stage though.

believe me I know that Starship can mess up everything
I'm also a WJSN fan but somehow I have to give a tiny bit of benefit of the doubt to Starship. I feel like the group shifted course around the time Bona had her massive acting success. Not long after that some of the members decided to not re-sign their contracts. If there's no contract then Starship doesn't even have the power to make a comeback happen, it'll only happen if the members without a contract agree to do it. It's possible they're just not that interested in being idols anymore.
Usually when a company puts a group in the dungeon against their will there will be some signs of that, like lashing out at the company in public, but I've never seen any of that with WJSN. You also see about half the members working with Starship on solo activities so it doesn't seem like Starship screwed them over somehow.
Fans seem very eager to assume Starship decided to just kill the group off but something about that theory doesn't add up for me.
There's no timeline where this doesn't flop. It feels like this is a case of "we have to spend this pile of cash somehow", which is strange after how much effort and preparation seemed to go into KiiiKiii.
Can't win them all, at least KiiiKiii is doing very well. Even if they light 100% of their cash on fire IVE profits would carry the company for another 10 years so it's not like they're taking any risks here.
If you invest money in someone, does that mean you can treat them however you want, no questions asked? If you truly believe that, then I think it's a very dangerous mindset to have.
If no laws or contracts are broken then yes. When it comes to a professional setting any breach of contract or wrongdoing needs a court ruling. I have no clue about the exact terms of their contract and whether there's justification for one-sided termination or not so I can only wait and see how it ends.
I wish that the group is able to continue making music and performing but at the same time I can't blame ADOR if they take it to court, I'd do the same if it was my job to look out for the interests of ADOR.
I like the group and I hope they can get away with it and continue as NJZ but I can't really blame ADOR for trying to prevent it. The company invested a huge amount of money and time, it would be pure insanity to just let them walk away while under contract and do nothing about it.
KiiiKiii seems to be doing so well already and the album isn't even out yet.
I'm not really invested in this group (yet, I'm very close though) but it seems to be a best case outcome for Starship. If the main title track is good this group is definitely going places.
I think DIVEs have also warmed up a bit to this group after the initial mixed reactions. The concept being completely different fromIVE helps a lot.
EDIT: Babymonster too, they're already dominating 5th gen but they can only go up
